A Culinary Journey to the Heart of the Philippines â An Unforgettable Experience at Taste of Philippines! đľđ
From the moment I stepped through the doors of Taste of Philippines, I knew I was in for something special. This isnât just a restaurantâitâs a cultural experience that wraps you in warmth, tradition, and the kind of home-cooked flavor that can only come from recipes passed down through generations.
I visited Taste of Philippines with high expectationsâand they didnât just meet them, they blew them out of the water. The ambiance is warm, inviting, and filled with Filipino pride. From traditional dĂŠcor to the soft music playing in the background, everything about the setting makes you feel like youâve stepped into someoneâs home in Manila or Cebu.
Letâs talk about the food, which is, without a doubt, the soul of this place.
We started with the Lumpia Shanghaiâperfectly crisp on the outside, packed with seasoned meat and vegetables on the inside. The dipping sauce added just the right tangy balance. Then came the Pancit Bihon, a Filipino classic that Taste of Philippines does exceptionally well. The noodles were stir-fried to perfection with fresh veggies and tender chickenâsimple, flavorful, and absolutely satisfying.
For the main course, I ordered the Chicken Adobo, and I honestly believe this might be the best version Iâve had outside the Philippines. The chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender, marinated in that rich soy-vinegar-garlic blend that defines Filipino comfort food. Every bite transported me back to island kitchens and family gatherings.
We also tried the Kare-Kare, a peanut-based oxtail stew served with bagoong (shrimp paste). It was rich, creamy, and soul-warmingâthe kind of dish that makes you stop mid-bite just to appreciate the depth of flavor. The Lechon Kawali, crispy fried pork belly, had the perfect crackling skin and juicy meat thatâs hard to get just rightâbut they nailed it.
To round it out, we had Halo-Halo for dessert, a vibrant and refreshing mix of crushed ice, leche flan, ube halaya, jackfruit, sweet beans, and more. It was not only beautiful to look at, but the perfect sweet ending to a truly authentic Filipino meal.
The service was just as memorable as the food. Every staff member we encountered was kind, attentive, and happy to answer questions about the dishes. You could tell they truly care about sharing their culture and cuisine with every guest who walks through the door.
Whether youâre Filipino and missing a taste of home, or new to the cuisine and ready to explore, Taste of Philippines is a must-visit gem. Itâs more than just a mealâitâs a celebration of culture, family, and flavor.
I will absolutely be back to try more from their menu, and Iâll be recommending this spot to anyone who loves authentic, soul-satisfying food made with heart.

Read moreI usually donât give â5 Starsâ to restaurants but, this place deserves every star! From the moment I walked in, from the young lady that seated me to my server Zachary, I felt like I was at home. They were gracious and polite and very accommodating. I ordered the Lumpia Shanghai (mini pork egg rolls, with a sweet chili sauce for dipping) for an appetizer while I waited on my Pork Adobo. The Lumpia were cooked perfectly and reminded me of my time in the Philippines when I was in the Navy! Then, my entrĂŠe arrived. It was served âFamily Styleâ and FAMILY SIZED! There was plenty of food for two and probably three people. The pork was tender and the sauce was a perfect combination of sweet and vinegary with a splash of Soy. The potatoes were cooked to perfection and it was served with a side of sticky white rice. It was all amazing!
For a restaurant that has only been open since May of this year, they are doing an impressive job of serving quality food that is reasonably priced and providing exceptional customer service in a world where customer service seems to be a lost concept. The whole staff really seemed to enjoy being there and it shows. The menu is small and uncomplicated which is exactly whatâs in order here; Traditional Pinoy dishes, made the way they are supposed to be made, and representing the best that this cuisine has to offer.
I am looking forward to bringing my family and friends here in the very near future and I give Taste of Philippines my highest...
Read moreThis is a fairly new establishment and I'm so glad there is a Filipino spot close to me to get my Filipino food taste when I don't feel like cooking đ. The establishment is very clean and I really like their modern decor. The service was decent, it seemed like they were a little inexperienced which is okay. It took a few minutes for the server to come and take our drink order and they forgot to bring the drinks when the food came out. Our server was very friendly though. I like the ordering style where you mark on the paper menu what you would like and my husband and I love the family style dishes. Once you order the food comes out pretty quickly. The food itself was very delish. The pork bbq skewers were cooked well and had a slightly sweet flavor which we enjoyed very much. The pork adobo was also tasty, even though I prefer mine with more vinegar taste and juice so that I can put some over my rice. The lechon had a good crunch, it was fried well and not over cooked like some other places I've been to. I do wish they had a tad more meat to fat. The pancit was also very good, it was seasoned well and had good flavor, I am a little used to a bit more veggies in it but it was still very good. The halo halo was refreshing and sweet, but there were some ingredients that I wished was in it for my liking. We will for sure...
