I cannot recommend anyone to eat here, unfortunately. The food that we got would be edible if we were starving after having spent a week lost in the woods, but otherwise, it was sad and it ruined an otherwise nice Saturday evening.
The meatball parm sub had no meatballs in it; they were replaced by pale, unseasoned, unappetizing globs of minced meat. While the faux meatballs looked like they were boiled in water, the bread was "luckily" untoasted and soggy. The whole monstrosity was then wrapped in aluminum foil, which completely stuck to the cheese. That cheese would have been the single palatable piece of the meal.
The eggplant rolatini looked much better, but looks can be deceiving, and indeed were in this case, to our utter desperation. The eggplant was bitter and weirdly sour, while the sauce had a particularly unpleasant funk to it.
All in all, we will not be coming back, because, if a restaurant can get even these simple meals wrong, there is no way anything more complicated would be good. Wasted...
Read moreI was going to rate this restaurant with two stars as I did think the food was delicious. However, I spent most of the night awake with severe stomach pains. So I changed the rate as it doesn't matter how good the food is if you get sick afterwards. I attended a bridal shower at this restaurant yesterday and found out that the owner booked two parties in the same space at the same time. Obviously this was extremely stressful for the bridal shower host as she booked this space over 6months ago and this should have never happened. To make matters worse, the owner did not remedy the situation without lengthy complaints. The host had to chaotically get everything done in a very short amount of time. He expected our party to move to the regular dining area which wasnt the agreement and inappropriate for a shower. The owner was unprofessional, unapologetic and didn't seem to care. This day should have been perfect for the bride as well as the host. I will make sure that mom's in Hunterdon County know of this...
Read moreNot impressed with this place at all, we have been here twice, the first time I didn’t care for it, the second time was worse, I asked the waitress for creamy Italian dressing, she brought Italian, I explained to her the difference and she was like I’ll bring you more, she again brought regular Italian, I also asked her if there were noodles in the minestrone soup as I am gluten free and she said yes, so I didn’t order it, someone else at the table ordered it and there were in fact no noodles. Then there was the main course, I ordered gluten free baked ziti, they brought it out, thought they got it wrong, took it back then brought it back and said.. this is the gluten free one, the kitchen was confused, I wasn’t confident that the waitress was confident it was in fact gluten free. I’m not sick so it was, but that can cause someone to get really sick, you really want to get your facts straight. Also the food took forever to come out. I’d skip this place, I’ve only been for family birthdays and frankly, I...
