Franco's Bistro — Restaurant in Gate City

I debated whether to write this review. I know the owner is trying so hard and wants to do his best to bring life to our beautiful town. Unfortunately, its just not working with the restaurant.

We have been a few times and last week was our last. We thought that there would be no way to mess up breakfast but we were so wrong. Black toast, black hashbrowns (yep charred), raw bacon; eggs were cooked fine. The worst part of our charred breakfast is that it was served to us by THE OWNER! Sorry, but do yourself a favor and hire someone that knows how to RUN a restaurant. Really not trying to be mean.. We'd love to see...

Guy who picked up the phone was extremely rude, said they were having a dinner rush (guess that was his excuse for me having to call 3 times to get a answer idk why he randomly said that) but there were only 3 groups of people there when i arrived anyways he was super rude, called me dictating for continuing to answer his question about salad dressing when he tried to talk over me lol. Told me it would be a 15-20 min wait which i was fine with but that really turned into a 30-40 min wait. The food was definitely not worth $15. Would recommend romanos in castlewood over this any day...

I had the privilege of eating at Franco’s Bistro and I can’t say enough good things! First, the atmosphere is very unique and it’s unlike anything else we have in this area. The food is amazing and the prices are unbeatable. Why would anyone go to Olive Garden when you can get real, authentic Italian that’s made fresh AND support a local business?! The owner was very personable and even came to our table to check in and tell us how much he appreciated our business. 10/10 recommend!!
