I stumbled across this place listed as a “creamery” on Google, but it feels more like an ice cream shop—and a pretty decent one at that. If you’re expecting a true creamery churning artisanal ice cream from local dairy, you might raise an eyebrow, but as an ice cream spot, it’s fun and not half bad. The flavors are creative, and the scoops hit the spot, making it a solid stop for a sweet fix. As a bakery, though, it falls flat. The baked goods lack the magic of, say, The Book Shop Bakery across the street, which nails pastries and drinks with small-town charm. I’m scratching my head why this place decided to go head-to-head with a beloved local bakery when the town didn’t need another. It feels like a missed chance to carve out its own niche—stick to ice cream, and it could’ve been a standout! The vibe here is pure whimsy, like an Instagram fever dream crossed with a Pinterest board that’s trying too hard. It’s begging you to snap photos with its quirky decor, and while the quality’s decent, it feels a bit out of touch with what the community craves. I’m a neutral outsider—no ties to either shop—but I can’t help but think this place could lean into its ice cream strengths and let the bakery next door do its thing. It’s not love, it’s not hate, it’s just
meh. I could take it or leave it, but if I’m craving a cone, I might swing by. For pastries? I’m crossing the street.

What a charming little cafĂ© in the heart of Gate City! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the irresistible aroma of freshly baked goods and rich chocolate. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and beautifully decorated. They had a section for kids to play with ice cream and bakery themed toys . There are also smaller and larger tables- perfect for a cozy coffee break or even a mini tea party. I couldn’t resist trying a selection of their baked goods, and I have to say, they were some of the best I’ve had in a long time. The bagel was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and while I was skeptical about their creamy soda combinations at first, their toasted marshmallow-inspired root beer completely won me over. One sip, and I was hooked! The only thing I regret? Not ordering one of their loaded waffles. I saw one come out of the kitchen, and my mouth immediately started watering. Guess that just means I have to go back soon!

Going to Orange Blossom Bakery and Creamery for a weekly coffee or treat is going to be a weekly if not daily ritual at this point! The coffee, waffles, cupcakes, and bagels have all been phenomenal, with the speciality drinks adding fun variety to the options. You have to try “The Dolly” and “Feeling 22”, my fave! They make their baked goods in house and it shows. The bagels are so soft and extremely fresh, unlike anything you could buy from the store. The loaded waffles are unmatched in our town, they are savory with any toppings of your liking and make a perfect morning breakfast while you sip coffee. The atmosphere is also open and welcoming, it's the perfect place to grab your favorite drink or snack and enjoy!

I recently stopped by Orange Blossom Bakery and Creamery and was instantly charmed by its lovely decor. The place is beautifully put together—cozy, inviting, and full of thoughtful little touches that create a warm, welcoming vibe. It’s the kind of spot that makes you want to linger. Unfortunately, my experience with the food and drink didn’t quite match the ambiance. I tried one of their New York-style bagels that they ship in, and found it disappointingly hard, missing that classic chewy texture I was craving. I also had a glass of their lemonade, hoping for a bright, fresh flavor, but it fell flat and didn’t deliver that zesty, just-squeezed taste I was expecting. I haven’t tried any of their other items yet, so I can’t speak to those, but based on the bagels and lemonade, I’d say the real draw here is the atmosphere rather than the offerings I sampled. Still worth a visit for the...
