First time in over a year I’ve been to Bush’s in Gatesville. The huge hole in the driveway is still there. At least they had a few cones in front of it to keep people from falling in with their little foreign cars. The door used by the staff to wait on cars has no handle and it had to be propped open with a cone borrowed from the pit outside. It’s an open invitation for flies and critters to enter the kitchen area. The two girls waiting on customers in the drive up were friendly, but with just a couple cars in front of us, it still seemed like 15-20 minutes to get our order. Then when we got out to the house at the farm, I was completely shocked to see the tenders that were served. I do not have extra large hands, but you can see by comparison, the tenders were hardly the size of my thumb. I don’t know who owns and runs the chain, but I would fire the individual you have running this location. For years, you have been the premier chicken restaurant and the quality of the product being delivered at this location does not reflect well on your reputation. I would also think that the overall appearance of the property falls under the responsibility of the manager, and brother let me tell you, this individual is bringing your reputation down to a level that does not reflect well on your brand. I will not be stopping by any time soon and I will not be recommending this location to anyone else for dining. You’re missing out on a huge opportunity to clean house, both literally and figuratively. Please fix this, McGregor is too far...
Read moreThe food is great if you actually get it. We have ordered chicken livers several times, and never got them. I live 26 miles from this restaurant, I am not willing to drive another 52 miles to go back and get my food. I feel totally ripped off and that the employees do not care if my order is correct. This is one reason that I am only giving a 1 star rating. The other reason is that when the employee took my order at the drive thru today, SHE ASKED cash or card, and I said card then handed my credit card to her. When she returned with my food she told me the amount, and just looked at me. I said thank you and held out my hand for the receipt. She then informed me that it had not been paid for, and I told her that I had given her my card. She went back in to look for it, then came out and told me that she didn't get my card or she would have ran it. I told her yes I did, but gave her my debit card and told her I would just cancel my credit card. She kept insisting that she never took it and didn't have it. I am guessing that another customer received my credit card and either was not aware of it, or kept it without returning it. I IMMEDIATELY contacted the credit card company to cancel my card, and to freeze my account. Thank God that it was a credit card, and not my debit card that had gotten lost.
To top everything off when I got home, guess what......... NO CHICKEN LIVERS!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! I will never go to this restaurant just...
Read moreNot sure what's up with Bush's lately... Not sure if they're just getting old or they are keeping up on maintenance properly. They just seem dirty and unkept. We we're just passing through and we stopped to get supper. We ordered a family meal of chicken and went had a seat. A young lady came up to us that work there and said that our chicken was going to be another 15 minutes or so being it's still cooking. She asked me if that was okay... I asked her if I had a choice! Two things... I could see a bunch of chicken sitting back there on the racks. I've no idea why we had to wait. Secondly, why didn't they tell us this when we paid. My wife and I wanted chicken on the bone and my kids wanted tenders. If they would have said is going to be an extra weight for chicken we would have just got tenders. I'm not giving up on Bush's Bean is one of our family's favorite, but I have been disappointed by last two...
