I have been coming to Prima Pasta for over 15 years now. My husband and I celebrate our anniversary there every year. I have never been disappointed before tonight. Our waiter was very under trained and I felt bad for him, as he was unfamiliar with the menu and on bussing his table, which was not done at all. We ordered ribeye steaks, medium rare and medium well and they were both cooked to medium, still tasty so I did not complain. However when the fully loaded potatoes came with burned cheese on top and no other fixings but butter I complained, our salads had old over ripened tomatoes to the point of them being mushy, and the salad consisted of just that one thin slice of tomato and lettuce with a few spinach leafs. When I asked for sour cream the old waiters assured me that they have not given sour cream for over 20 years now, in a very argumentative way. I do not go out of my way to drive to Gatesville to celebrate what was supposed to be a good time with my husband only to pay 25.00 a piece for steks incorrectly cooked, and substandard food. I have loved this place for years, buy unfortunately like it's current condition of torn chairs and dirty atmosphere the service matched. And I will more than...

Ordered 3 sides, 2 soups and a salad and only got 1 soup and it was supposed to be potato soup and had only remnants of onion and super greasy broth that tasted like shrimp. It gave me the impression that when they made the shrimp for the day, they drained the juice into a bowl and called it soup broth. Also, no potatoes ;( the cannoli is small for nearly $5 but it was decent. I ordered a drink and got mostly ice and 3 sips of soda and it was gone. This place means well, but could do a lot better. Take this criticism as a chance to improve your service. The delivery driver was awesome, dude with long blonde hair and drove a vw was kind and called...
Read moreI almost passed on this place. The photography of menu items didn't look great and the building looks like it is an add on to the Days Inn right across from it..... That is until you walk inside. The interior has a beautiful glass faced wall with rustic wooden beam structure. The electric lights are dim and the natural light is plentiful, making for a romantic environment. I seldom give 5 stars, but I love Italian food and here the quality is great and the portions are huge! Due to it being in the evening when we dined here, the lights were dim and so I took no photos of the meals. All in all, we will be coming here again! One shocking thing about this place is that the menu is absolutely huge! I didn't count, but I'd estimate...
