I placed a pickup order from Thai Town Café in Geneseo and was impressed right from the start—my food was ready exactly at the time I requested. More importantly, it was delicious. I’ll definitely be back to try more from their menu.
One thing I really appreciated while waiting was the TV display showing photos and videos of different dishes they offer. At places like this, I sometimes struggle to know what each item includes just from the name alone, so it was super helpful to get a visual idea of what I might want to order next time.
While enjoying my meal, I did notice a small vegetable sticker had made it into the food. It didn’t ruin my experience—I’m just glad I caught it—but figured it’s worth mentioning. I also noticed that the buffet area, which is currently not in use, was covered in a layer of dust. Even if it’s not being used, I’d suggest giving it a quick clean to keep the overall atmosphere feeling fresh and welcoming.
I wish more restaurants had a contact form or email on their website so feedback like this could be shared privately, but I also think it’s important to highlight how good the food was. These minor issues didn’t take away from the fact that the meal itself was excellent.
Highly recommend trying this place—especially for takeout. I’m looking forward to dining in...
Read moreSome of the best Pad Kee Mao I have every eaten. I love Drunken Noodles. My only complaint was that I order authentic thai hot Pad Kee Mao and I would say the spiciness was a medium, not the extra hot I was expecting. I asked the waitress for if I could get Prik Nam Pla to put on my Pad Kee Mao, she had no idea what I was talking about. I explained it was a sauce with Fish Sauce, Lime Juice, and Chiles. She asked the cooks and an came back quickly with the Prik Nam Pla. The Prik Nam Pla was really good, loaded with a bunch of slices of chile in it. I poured the Prik Nam Pla on the Pad Kee Mao and got the extra fish sauce flavor I like and the boost in spiciness I was looking for. Excellent restaurant with excellent food, will be returning in the future when I am...
Read moreThe Thai town sample was perfect. Earns the 3 stars alone.
The chicken pad Thai unfortunately just tasted like chicken broth with cracked black pepper on top. Ive never seen pad Thai with nothing but black pepper and boiled chicken before.
The combo fried rice tasted like boiled steak, also with only cracked black pepper on top for some reason.
I’m not sure if a mistake was made but if this is how the food is normally prepared, it’s very disappointing. Like an Irish man’s idea of what Thai food tastes like. Pepper and salt.
Side note: I have a low tolerance for heat, so I’m not just looking for spicy food, just some seasonings besides black pepper and a dash of soy sauce.
