Stopped in this afternoon after looking for a nearby Mexican restaurant since we live downtown Savannah and were in Richmond Hill. Based on the 4.8 review we thought this would be a great place to go. Boy were we horribly disappointed. The ânachosâ we ordered at a cost of $10 were at best comparable to something you would get at a gas station convenience store made with some kind of gooey velveeta type fake cheese, with a sprinkling of sliced jalapeños, and tons of grated lettuce over semi stale nacho chips. And they forgot the avocado topping that was supposed to go on it. The tacos were lackluster made with some precooked filling that lacked any discernible taste and tepid at best. We also ordered an empanada which was decent but at a cost of $2.95 was minuscule and barely would fit in the palm of a petite womanâs hand.
All and all it was a huge costly disappointment and me and my partner are boggled at how this place has a 4.8 rating according to Google!? We will never ever return, and we are going to start being especially cautious when picking places based on Googles ratings...
Read moreIt is not an 4 more like an 4.5 to 4.7. Actually went back to back. First night there I took my kids and I got the tostadas, 1 chicken and 1 pork. Pork is carnitas style and was very good but I preferred the chicken which had excellent flavor. Chicken is normally my least favorite choice but I preferred it here. The green jalapeño sauce was excellent. My daughter ordered the tamales one chicken and one beef. She secured them and was very happy. My son got the burrito which is how he rated Mexican restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the checked but would have preferred the pork which he normally does not get. We also got a spinach and cheese empanada, beef empanada and chicken empanada with the garlic sauce. All were delicious and the kids definitely enjoyed those. My daughter also got the chocolate flan and really enjoyed it. Went for lunch today as well and got a beef torta which next outing I will get a chicken torta or the chicharron dish which looks very interesting. Definitely going to be a go to Mexican restaurant.

From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed like familyâand the food? Unreal. This cozy little spot serves up authentic Mexican cuisine that tastes like it came straight from someoneâs abuelaâs kitchen. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and made with love.
Their sweet treats and drinks were the perfect complement, but let me just say this: the horchata was absolutely to die for. Smooth, creamy, perfectly spicedâso good I was tempted to order a second one right then and there. And now I canât stop thinking about the horchata frappeâI will 1000% be going back for it.
The service was amazingâso kind, patient, and helpful, especially as we asked a million questions about the menu. They made us feel totally at ease and excited to try new things. Itâs the kind of place you want to keep coming back toânot just for the food, but for the experience.
