Riverboat Pizza Company — Restaurant in Georgia

We decided to stop at Riverboat because of the great food reviews. When we got there, we were a little surprised. The reviews neglected to say this place was less than clean. Floors dirty seats were torn. We, again, decided to stay because of the reviews. The spinach salad was excellent. However, when our pizza came, the order was wrong. We called the waitress back to the table and she proceeded to find out what happened, taking the pizza She hit the wrong button, adding sausage to our pizza. She brought the pizza back to the table, wanting to know if we still wanted the wrong one, that we could pick it off, according to the cook, or it would take about 5 minutes to make another. We wanted what we ordered. A few minutes later The cook came out to make sure our order was right. My husband asked if would take 5 minutes to make , and as he was walking back the cook stated it would take longer than that, and if we would have just picked it off, we would be eating by now. So we just decided to pay for the salads and our drinks and leave. While at the register he said the new one was in the oven, but he had not been back there long enough to make it and I told him we did not want it any longer. He said that was fine not worry about and then started insulting the hat I was wearing. As we were walking to the car the waitress came out wanting us to know if we were going to pay for the salad. I was fixing to give the money when he came and told her not worry about it and then proceeded to call me an Ahole and walked back into the building. I would think twice before going here unless you wanted to be treated like an Ahole for wanting the pizza made to the way we order it not the way he wanted...

Get the River Monster!!!! You won't be disappointed. My wife and I were heading home to Orlando after spending the weekend in Savannah and we wanted to grab something quick so we did not want fast food so we decided to order a pizza for pickup from Riverboat Pizza Company. I'm from New York city so I'm pretty hard to impress when it comes to pizza but I have to say this pizza was absolutely amazing :-) we shared a personal pan with I feel like with big enough for both of us. We both had two slices and unfortunately we did not even have a chance to take a picture of the pizza before we were already digging in and licking our fingers! I'm pretty picky when it comes to the crust on my pizza so I must say I definitely enjoyed this crust usually I don't eat the crust I give it to my wife but this time I enjoyed the crust as well) so that alone is a complement in itself) the texture of the pizza crust was similar to that of a flatbread. It was light and fluffy but still crispy. It wasn't too thick like most...

I absolutely love this establishment. The pizza is great and they sell cheesecake which is great too. The owner and employees are very cool and tend to remember me and my usual order.

My personal favorite as far as their large pizza selection goes and the only pizza I ever order is the Bangkok Knights pizza. I can't describe it in any way except it is amazing and it incorporates peanut sauce. Also make sure you check out their Garlic Ranch dipping sauce.

They offer takeout and they have an actual bar with bottled beer, beers on draft, and wine. The restroom is clean.

Sometimes it gets packed inside but there is outdoor seating available.

My only complaint is sometimes there are some odd hours. I would check to see when they are open before going.

It is unfortunate that this place is not more visible from the street. In my opinion, if this was in downtown Savannah or had a more apparent sign from the road, it would be just as popular as Vinnie Van Go-Go's or Mellow...
