Horrible experience at China One. I got online to look at their menu to order and called it in. According to the menu online, it should have been $25ish before taxes. They proceed to tell me the price is $41. I ask about this and they tell me it's and old menu and they don't know how to change it. Okay. Not great business but okay. Wasn't mad nor freaking out just a little frustrated but kept that to myself. I tell them that price is much higher than I was expecting based on the menu I read and would they be willing to provide a discount, coupon for next time, free eggroll, something? Hell no. They aren't willing to do a single thing to make up for this, nor are they willing to take responsibility for it to begin with. They couldn't have cared any less that I was upset by the lack of customer service or that I'd be a long time patron. Having been in the service industry on and off for 20 years. I can promise you that if a business messes up, it's 100% up to them to set it right. If Keoger leaves their sale stickers out past the exp date and you bring that to the clerks attention, 90% of the time you will always get the sale price without any effort because it was their mistake. This applys around the board.
Anyway, China...
Read moreAwful in every conceivable way, ordered chow mein and didn't receive it, called the store to be put on with the so called manager who basically just told me I didn't know what chow mein was and that it was in the bag and just didn't know what I was talking about. I just hung up because I figured I wasn't getting anywhere with them and would just eat the food (no argument happened). THEN THE GUY CALLED ME BACK. That's right the manager called back my personal cell to continue arguing with me, etc. After that we went ahead and tried to eat the food but everything was terrible, sesame and orange chicken both tasted rancid and some pieces to tough to chew, crab Rangoon was thick, doughy, and had no filling, sweet and sour chicken breading was soggy and mushy, etc. First time ever buying from here and after spending $70 on food and having this experience I'm happy to say we will never return and hope others...
Read moreRead moreThe best Chinese Food within 70 miles easy. Normally I'm not a big fan of Chinese food. but you know how it goes, family loves it so we get it. We have tried several places from Corydon,IN. to all over Louisville. China One is by far the best. I love the Kung Pao chicken,Its got me hooked, It's more a takeout place but thats all good, we would rather take it home spread it out on the table and dig in. We usually just order there instead of calling in the order as it can be a little hard to understand the lady taking your order over the phone. last visit we got 2 egg rolls(not the best egg rolls around) 1 Hot and sour soup,(perfect) 1 Kung Pao chicken,(fantastic)1 Wonton soup, (very good), 1 Hunan chicken,(wife Loved it! and trust me she knows Chinese food) 1 Beef lo mein (liked by all).. All that for lunch Paid $25.68... MAKE THE DRIVE TO GEORGETOWN YOU'LL BE HAPPY...
