Dollar General — Local services in Georgetown

I really like and appreciate the new remodel/ addition of groceries. The store looks great. In a small town, it's been very helpful and convenient to have more food options available nearby. Produce would be a nice addition.

I would give five stars, but the app for DG and cash register software are both horrible. Not all forms of payment are automatically accepted, which requires the customer to inform the cashier and special buttons to be pushed beforehand. First vist at this particular DG. We stopped as we were passing through running late to get home and needed some groceries. The grocery stores had already closed for the day. Freezers were very bare and we weren't able to get what we needed. I understand that they aren't a grocery chain but it was strange to see so many empty spaces in the sfrezer section. I don't remember what we weren't able to get so it must not have been too big of a problem. It seemed like this location was a little more organized than most that I have been to. Evening, 6/14/24. The blond with the rainbow tattoo on her right arm thinks it's appropriate to be on her phone, looking at baby pictures when there's people in line and someone is trying to pay. Maybe the manager can explain to her that her job ethic has an effect on where she's at in life. She'd probably have a better paying job if her job had a higher priority over baby pictures people are sending her. The young man I seen stocking shelves earlier was hard at it.
