Saw this place had decent reviews so I decided to pop in on my way to work. I ordered 2 buche tacos and a barbacoa taco (I also ordered tripas but they said it wasn't ready yet). The first thing I'll mention is that for $4 per taco I expect the taco to be packed with meat. I was disappointed to see that there was very little meat in each taco. Normally 3 tacos should fill me up so I'm okay spending $12 but here I came away unsatisfied. The cook on the buche was great. Bigger than typical strips that were tender and light. The flavor on the other hand was a little bland, although the redeeming side of that was that it didn't have any of the off flavors some places have with their buche. Similarly, the barbacoa was very tender but lacking in salt and that sticky, beefy flavor we look for in a good barbacoa. The salsas were overly salty, and thus paired with the bland meat produced a taco that was nice, but not mind blowing. Also as you can see in the pictures, they put radish on the side. Which would have been nice, but they were not pickled and completely raw. Raw radishes have a really strong earthy almost soil-like flavor so at the very least quick-pickling them is necessary. As many professionals would say, if it's not meant to be eaten don't put them on the plate. There are other options close by that are similarly priced but with double the amount of meat. I will try El Tio Nacho again and will make a final verdict but for my first time, I was underwhelmed and still searching for my go-to spot. 2 stars out of 5.

This hole in the wall Mexican Restaurant located inside of a gas station is a hidden gem that packs a flavorful punch with their Barbacoa Tacos. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted by the warm and inviting staff that sets the stage for a delightful dining experience and their very unique wall art and mexican "dichos" The Barbacoa Tacos are a true standout. The tender and juicy beef is perfectly seasoned and slow-cooked to perfection, resulting in a rich and savory flavor that melts in your mouth with every bite. The meat is packed with a blend of traditional Mexican spices that add a depth of flavor that is simply irresistible. Each hand-made tortilla taco is then topped with fresh cilantro, onions, and radishes. The portion size is generous, making it a satisfying dish that won't leave you feeling hungry. Whether you're a meat lover or a taco enthusiast, these Barbacoa Tacos are sure to please even the most discerning palates. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, you'll find yourself coming back for more of these delicious tacos time and time again.

I ordered three tacos, all on flour tortillas: barbacoa, migas, and nopales with egg and cheese. The migas taco was definitely the highlight—flavorful and well-prepared. However, the nopales egg and cheese taco tasted off, possibly due to the cheese or cactus, which had an unusual flavor. The barbacoa was also underwhelming, and I was disappointed that the onions were cooked rather than raw, as I prefer the crunch. The restaurant provided two salsas for three tacos, which was plenty, but neither the red nor green were spicy. Overall, while the migas taco was enjoyable, the rest of my order fell short of expectations. I appreciate the service, but I wouldn’t return.

The food was flavorless and not good at all. Even the salsa was bland. I tried masking the tacos with excess salsa and it still didn’t work. I was extremely hungry and ordered a bit of everything from regular tacos, sopes, and gringos tacos and they all tasted equally as bland. I am very disappointed as I have been looking to find an authentic Mexican taco joint in Georgetown and this restaurant had 4.5 stars which I was excited about. The food should bring the rating all the way down in my opinion. The service was good and timely but good service cannot override bad tasting food. This restaurant has the looks of a great hole in the wall taco joint, but please do not become BAMBOOZLED like I was and save yourself the time. Do not become BAMBOOZLED by the...
