TLDR: good!
Full review:
Restaurant: I wasn’t sure what to expect when I walked in to pickup my takeout order Friday. There are way more tables than expected and it’s a pretty ‘open’ space.
Staff: SUPER nice. They intentionally double checked my order before they handed it to me. They asked me to call them if we had any issues. Everyone was smiling and although they seemed very busy already (it was only 4:45), they got the order out really quickly.
Food: Keeping in mind that this was takeout, overall the food was good. I think the servings are a little small for the price, especially the calamari (we ate two rings before taking this photo) and the steamed bun (barely any meat). The flavors of everything were on point. The sauce that comes with the calamari should be bottled up and sold, assuming they make it in house. If it’s already in a bottle on shelves somewhere, I need to know where so I can drop everything I’m doing and purchase post haste. Not enough fish in the poke bowls but the flavors, again, lovely. Popcorn chicken pieces are small, but they taste really good. They didn’t survive the takeout container, meaning they lost all crisp I assume they had. That’s the risk taken with takeout though! I wouldn’t get the teriyaki chicken again for me or my husband, but my young children liked it. The sauce was a little too sweet and almost felt the the dish was boring/thrown together. Edamame were perfectly cooked and I can’t wait to try the spicy garlic edamame next time. And… I’m sure you’re all wondering… the ramen… 🍜 I didn’t try it. 🤦🏻♀️ I was so stuck on trying a little bit of everything, by the time I got to the ramen, I was stuffed. I’ll try it as a reheated leftover and can comment on the flavors then, but I wouldn’t consider it an official review until I actually order and eat it fresh!
All in all, very good takeout experience especially for JUST opening. I think their clean and friendly atmosphere, good flavors, and lack of any decent similar restaurant in the area will take them far. I hope they can change the portions a little, and I hope they add a build-your-own-bowl option for the poke! Go...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I were looking for a new ramen place but we didn’t want to drive all of the way into Boston for some good ramen. We stumbled across this place on google and decided to give it a try! We got the pork belly bao and 2 spicy miso ramen - 1 with pork belly and the other with chicken. The bao buns were incredible. The pork belly was pan seared & the sauce was delicious. The ramen was a hefty portion with a generous serving of protein (pork/chicken) and it was some of the best ramen we’ve ever had. To top it off the service was fantastic. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming while we were there & very helpful with questions we had / giving recommendations to us. We chatted with the owner for quite some time and she was so nice! We are so happy we found this place and we will...
Read moreSmall family owned and run shop with the best Ramen I’ve had! Visible kitchen which is clean and orderly, seating area is contemporary and also clean. Wait staff was pleasant, engaging and helpful. Steamed buns are very tasty, with fresh shredded veggies that complement the flavors nicely. Kimchi on the side was authentic! The Ramen was light and flavorful, not bogged down with loads of unnecessary extra ingredients. The veggies and meat were nicely cut and prepared, and the noodles were light and thin. Hot oil was available on the side instead of stirred in, in case I couldn’t handle the heat, and I ended up using all of it! So good. Although this is 15 miles from my home, it is definitely my go to...
