Almond Cakes and Catering — Restaurant in Georgia

First let me say, I reached out to Almond Cakes and Catering with a unique request. My family and I are obsessed with the Netflix show, “I think you should leave”. We quote the show on a regular basis, so our daughter wanted her birthday cake to be themed on that show. After speaking with AC&C and sending a pic, we decided on what we were going to do. The conversation and transaction was seamless and the person I spoke to, very friendly. My husband and I were very excited to see the finished product, as well as the look on our daughters face when she saw it. The cake was hand delivered at the exact agreed upon time and from the first initial glance of it, in the box, it looked pretty cool! Unfortunately, however, we were pretty disappointed after taking it fully out of its box. The first thing we noticed, was that the edible paper around the bottom, was really faded and not in color; you couldn’t really make out the wording or photo and it was also pretty wrinkled. The topper was slightly bent as well, and when you turned the cake around, you could see the tape and cake dowels sticking out the back. I get that’s how you secure a topper, but in the past, the toppers we’ve had have been double sided so it’s more esthetically pleasing. Lastly, in terms of disappointment, the bottom portion of the cake was really gooey (almost like it wasn’t fully cooked.)

All in all, we were really happy with the prompt service and creativity used in this unique request. However, for a total of $80 ($10 delivery fee included) this just didn’t meet our expectations, but...

My experience with Almond Cakes and Catering was a wonderful treat of not cooking for this event that we planned at the last minute for my Best Friend’s Birthday. Ms. Almond took my order over the phone on Thursday, for a Sunday Dinner, and I was so pleased that they were able to accommodate us in such a limited time, but true enough they did. We planned for a party of 12 people, but 2 additional added on, and I called to increase the guests count, and they were able to provide enough food despite the additional people that came at no charge. The food was delicious and the Guest of Honor and others was pleased with the food and ask for the your business information to recommend for their events/parties. I recently hired Almond Catering for a bridal shower and she did not disappoint! Not only does she offer catering, she also offer decorating as well. I went with a brunch theme and she nailed it! The decorations were exactly what I wanted, they brought my vision to life. The food was amazing! The flavors were perfect, and the presentation was on point! The shrimp and grits was the highlight of the brunch, the guest couldn’t stop talking about it. The fried chicken was crispy, waffles were fluffy, the fruit was fresh and sweet, and the cupcakes was so moist! 10/10! I will definitely recommend Almond Catering to all my friends and family...
