Oh gosh. This place is so good. I’m so glad Savannah has a tasty bakery finally AND it’s on the south side and they are CONSISTENT. Something a lot of places, especially small, locally owned places, are lacking. I went a few weeks ago on a Friday afternoon and mostly everything had sold out- the nice lady told me to come back in the morning but there will be a line so try to get in early. So I did! First off, everyone there is super kind and very accommodating. I ordered a vegan maple cinnamon roll and the girl handling the food asked if I would like her to change her gloves. I’m not vegan, the cinnamon roll just sounded great so I got it, but it’s little stuff like that that goes a long way. I totally appreciated her asking. Anyways I also got a pop tart, and a few different types of bread. The bread was delicious, but all bread is to me lol. That pop tart was fantastic perfection. The crust was so laminated and it was so rich and buttery. The maple vegan cinnamon roll was delicious as well. My only tiny complaint with the food was that the maple vegan cinnamon roll needed more icing on it. There was a tiny amount and it was all in the middle of the roll, leaving the outside slightly unflavored. The aesthetics of the place are amazing. They are super clean in there, you get your pastries wrapped in parchment paper (printed with the bakery name) in the cutest little cardboard box. I couldn’t help but think how photogenic everything looked, so heads up for all you social media foodies! The prices are really reasonable in MY eyes- I totally respect everyone is different there. My pastries were $4 each. I feel like the price ranges were 3-10? And the higher up items were meal items (they sell little pizzas and such at lunch). I got both sweet and savory snacks and they were so good. I’m definitely an official customer. I took off one star because of their strange hours. Thurs-sun 8-3 and I basically was just late to work one morning to stop there. So the only way I can go is to risk being late. I wish they were either open more days, or open at 7:00. Either way, I will definitely make a way to...
Read moreSooo delicious… my first time stopping in just because I had a few minutes to kill and saw it was open.. Everything looked and smelled sooo good! I did not know anything about this place when I first stopped in and immediately saw that most everything was handmade with a flakey croissant style. I got a ham and cheese croissant for a quick snack which had the perfect consistency and balance of meat cheese and soft flakey bread/crust. I got a chocolate croissant and cheese danish to take home (so I haven’t tried them yet). I also got one of their home made pop tarts, I split it in half and it was super tasty! I am in love with this little place and will definitely be back and be bringing friends. I overheard a customer and worker talking about how fast certain items sell out so I am sure I did not get to see everything they have available, I hope to catch other signature items...
Read moreTheir stuff is good and worth the line. I don’t mind when the employees are rushing me through to order. However I’m leaving three stars because I called and asked if they made cakes and I was condescendingly told “we’re a bakery not a cake shop”. You don’t have to be rude or talk to me like I’m stupid for asking a simple question. Bakeries usually sell cakes which is why I asked to make sure. I wasn’t rude back and she went back to the fake customer service tone I guess when she realized I wasn’t going to be rude back to her. I then saw on multiple occasions that you do in fact sell cakes so not sure why she told me that and yes I’m sure it was the right place there’s no other bakery called Auspicious in Savannah. Other than that employees are usually kept to themselves or polite, but please learn some manners or some patience for questions asked...
