I hadn't been there for a while , and I was really looking forward to a pulled pork sandwich and sides. I got there at 7:15 pm and was told they have no meats except Brisket, sausage, and ribs. Also , no coke slaw or mac and cheese. I was thinking of thin, tender slices of Brisket and a nice smoked country sausage, like other BBQ places have, Instead, I got a smoked Polish Kielbasa sausage, nothing like the real thing, smoked country sausage, and very disappointing in taste and consistency. Never again! The brisket was all ground up and nothing like a brisket at all. Not enjoyable! I got collard greens, thinking , yeah, all BBQ places do those pretty well, but again, utter disappointment. Bland and flavorless! Since there was no coleslaw or mac and cheese, and I don't like what they happen to call, Baked Beans, I ordered something new off the blackboard, fried yellow peppers. Not a replacement for slaw or mac and cheese at all. I threw away over half of them. So I walked out $ 17 poorer and still hungry, waiting to get back home to make myself a turkey and Swiss sandwich. What a joke of a So-Called BBQ establishment and a rip off. The only good thing about it was, the nice welcome greeting , and well wishes for me to have a good evening from the two nice girls up at the counter. At least two potential groups of customers came in while I was there and walked back out and drove away, finding out that half the menu was not available to them at the present time. Sand fly bbq needs to get it together or else go by the wayside. I am done with them. Never again will I make a Charitable...

I was visiting, but have been to Savannah a number of times, and have had a wide range of BBQ experiences over the past 20 years: from the 55 gallon drum pit on the side of a back road (IYKYK) to corporate garbage and everything in between.
I came for lunch, and didn’t have dinner plans, so my idea was… I’ll see how lunch goes, and if it’s good I’ll get ribs and sides to go for dinner.
Lunch blew my d!ck off.
Their brisket is as good as the fresh cooked heart cut straight out the smoker with some of the most flavorful, beautiful bark I’ve ever had. The chicken - white meat! - was juicy and flavorful throughout and the seasoning on the skin made my toes curl. The potato salad was absurdly good, especially with the mustard sauce. Even the greens were to die for.
So yeah, I got ribs to go.
heartbreak
The ribs had so much seasoning on them that they were damn near inedible. I threw half the order away they were so damn offensive. Baby, WHAT IS YOU DOIN?!
The shift apparently changed mid-lunch, cuz the gal who helped me with my lunch was a 10/10 rockstar, and the poor little blonde girl who tried to help me get my ribs was … not.
I would 100% go back for more… but the ribs. No ma’am. No...
