I give the service 3 stars because even though nobody was behind us in line yet, on our first time trying this place, the gal who. Took orders was not very polite. She didn’t even try to give us recommendations on what are some favorites people order but acted more bothered we didn’t know what we wanted yet. She is the only reason I cannot give a higher rating on service because it was pretty rude. She never even said ok I will give you all a couple minutes to look over the menu. Just bothered by us taking some time to figure out. That was the only negative interaction we encountered. A very nice comfort food hole-in-the-wall. The food tastes good that we got as this was our first trip. The biscuits are very crumbly and hard to keep your biscuit sandwich together. But at least it wasn’t dry like other places. I enjoyed the omelette as well. And the chips are not hard like kettle chips so that is what makes them good! The omelette plate I got was about $14 but others items are less than $10

When you bite into a buttermilk biscuit from the Big Biscuit Barn, be sure to close your eyes so you can immerse your senses in the light, airy texture, the savory butter, and the melt in your mouth goodness. It is a treat for your senses. The country sausage gravy has the smoothest, oh-so-light base with just the right size sausage mixed in with flakes of ground pepper that give it the true southern taste. The big biscuit platter has a generous helping of scrambled eggs, gravy or grits, and a biscuit with your choice of meat. The two of us had a keep-you-full-all-day breakfast for $16 and change. The restaurant is owned by Phillis Cabe, a widow who gives credit for her success over the past 15 years to her faith. Make the trip to the Biscuit Barn and while you are there, ask Phyllis about her biscuit making class. She might just save you a seat.

Could have been that I went a hour before close but my experience wasn't the greatest. It is a cute quaint place...not much seating inside but thats not a bad thing...feels cozy. The lady taking the order looked like she was done and frustrated having to take orders. Her expressions and the way she would ask us what we wanted to order 😶 not very welcoming. The biscuit/food wasn't bad. Only thing I thought was great was the buttery grits. The eggs were nothing impressive....could have done without those tots.....my kids didn't like the tots.. Could have been like I said a bad time to come and the wrong plate but ill have to pass on 2nd visit.

Everything had always been great until my last two visits. The time before last I ordered the breakfast platter.Wasnt asked how I wanted my eggs so they came scrambled.I wanted fried eggs but when I told the lady at the counter she acted like it was my fault.Said for fried it's an extra dollar.I was more than happy to pay the dollar even though the signs didn't specify this. The owner graciously fixed the order in spite of the rude cashier.Today I ordered my eggs overeasy like I always do but they were so loose as to be gross. The whites we're not cooked at all hardly.I debated saying anything but they were not edible. When I let the cashier know about the eggs she once again blamed me.I have been in the hospitality field most of my life so I was aghast when she began arguing with me.I simply wanted eggs that I could eat.I understand that over easy means different things for different people but these were barely cooked at all.Glops of the whites not cooked..aI don't know what this woman's problem is but I won't be returning due to her rude demeanor. So after a year had passed I decided to give this place a try again.I was hoping for a turn for the better. Unfortunately this was not the case. Ordered a breakfast platter with eggs over medium, bacon, and a biscuit. I waited and waited. When I returned to the counter I was informed they gave my order away to another customer. Neither one of us received the food that was ordered. I would expect an apology and a commitment to make the order right but never received one. The lady at the counter acted like it was my fault. How this lady is still employed here despite numerous complaints about her attitude is beyond me. I will never give this place my business ever again while this shrew is manning the cash register. Good southern cooking should be enhanced by employees who give a damn about customer service Truly a shame cause the owner seems very nice but is overshadowed by this rude employee. Get in another line of work if you...

You'll miss this little place if you aren't careful. Also, be easy on your car as you pull in/out. The road & driveway have that high hump. There's plenty of parking to the right of their building & a few spots on the left where they also have a couple of small tables if you'd like to sit outside. I've never been inside but have noticed there are always several going in. So I can't say if there is seating inside. If so, it can't be much as it's a very small building from what is seen from outside. I always go through the drive thru. They're always quick & if you order something that requires longer to prepare they ask you to pull forward so it can be brought out & the people in line can move along. I've had nothing but good friendly service each time I've went through there. I've only ever ordered either plain biscuits or an egg/cheese biscuit and ordered an apple pie once & peach pie before that. The pies are fried (making them a guilty pleasure on top of the biscuits that are carbs as well 😂). I'd definitely recommend the apple over the peach. As good as they are though. No one beats grandma's. Their biscuits are delicious!!! Baked to perfection & honestly Hardee's should learn from these folks. They aren't so full of Grease or butter that your hands are a terrible mess as you eat one going down the road. The sweet tea is AMAZING... you know they are southern good folks by the tea alone 😂 The prices aren't bad either. Doesn't seem they went insane when they had to raise cost due to the clown admin we have now. I don't get on that side of Rossville too often but when I do. I try to go when they're open so I can get a biscuit. Hands down....best in town!!! They have a large menu to be a small place. Always something different to...

The only reason I'm giving this a 4 star, and not a 5 star. It's because there's not enough parking space. If the parking lot is full, you might have to park across the street, or down the street, and walk back up. Trust me when I say this, and it kills my soul to say to say it, and God in heaven knows it does. My whole life, I thought my mamaw was the only person in this whole world, that could make homemade biscuits and gravy, that couldn't be beat at all. You could grab one of mamaws cold biscuit a day later, and just eat it by its self, or eat it with a bowl of beans. It didn't matter how you ate that biscuit, or what you ate it with, that's just how GOOD mamaws biscuit is. But the women at the Big Biscuit Barn, in Fort Oglethorpe Georgia, can make a plate of homemade biscuits, and gravy that is just as good as mamaws, and I mean that in the best way I know how to word it. If you're ever down this way, and don't stop in, and try there biscuits, and gravy. You need your hindend wore out, and you'll regret it every time you eat some biscuit, and gravy, or just grab you a biscuit, and put a little jelly on it, or whatever. It will be one of the biggest mistake you'll make this year, I guarantee you that. Mamaw still makes the best biscuits, and gravy. All I'm saying, is if you can't be at mamaws, this place right here, is the next best thing, and...
