Just had the most horrible experience with Dependo Rent All in Fort oglethorpe Ga. We had reserved wedding Tents, Chairs, Tables for our son's wedding. His soon to be wife is in the United States Airforce and they are planning their wedding for when she comes home on a short leave. Her orders were for the 19th of September to come home. So she wanted to book the wedding for 09/24/2016. so they will have time to go on their honeymoon. We found out those dates have been changed and we cant have the wedding until 1st of October. They would not change the date by one week to help our Miltary who is serving our country. What is wrong with this country. My husband went by first thing this morning and was told NO " Wayne said it is in the contract" my husband tried to explain the circumstance. So I called about an hour later and was told a firm no it stated in the contract. I can understand if the first of October was booked but it wasn't. I know what contracts say but sometimes you have to have a little compassion for our men and women who serve our country. So since we were told no twice in one day and not even let me check and see what I can do. We started looking for someone else talking with family and friends and telling them what happen we had the kindness of other people donating tents, tables and chairs we will be covered. I received a call from Lynn with Dependo Rent-all. Saying we did not give them a chance. I told her that we were told twice "NO" .So as of right we are out $600.00. I am a Christian lady and I would have never treated someone this way. I would have told them "Let me see what I can do or let me talk to my wife and I will call you back. But we were told "NO " twice. I would never rent anything from them again. UPDATE Lynn just called and said they will refund us...
Read moreIf I could give them zero stars I would. First of all I need a generator for one day. Went in Friday at about 4:30. Told them I needed a generator for one day. I planned on taking it back on Saturday. Well I was informed that they open at 8 and close at noon on Saturday. I asked if I was to rent it in the morning if they had a drop off on Sunday. They didn't. I was told that I would have to bring it by Monday and be charged for 2 days. I bit the bullet and rented it. Well I got home and was showing my wife how to use it, it didn't work. My wife wanted to take it to our new house and run a vaccum cleaner(we didn't have power yet). I took it back to get another one and asked if he could throw in a stand up light because it would be getting dark and there was no power. He acted like he didn't understand what I was asking, but he did inform me that they do rent lights but I would have to come back Monday to rent one because they were closed. Not the end of the story yet. He called me this morning at 9:30(Monday) asking for his generator back. He said it had to be back by 9 or I get charged another day. When signed the papers I was told to bring it in Monday, then I asked what time they close I was told 5:30 assuming that was when it needed to be back. That provoked a heated discussion between me and the manager. I'm sure I am getting charged another day. All I can say is, I'll never rent there again and hopefully I have saved someone else from making the mistake I did...
Read moreI will always rent from Dependo. You could not ask for a better owner. I have rented from them in the past and have never had any issues. I recently rented a seed slicer from them that I had used last season for grass seed. It performed great last season. I did not have to put down any topsoil or straw even though I was planting on bare dirt. It makes a groove in the dirt and drops the seed right in and then covers it back up. Saves a lot of work, money on topsoil, and no weed seeds from straw. This time around the slicer was having engine issues. Apparently the diaphragm in the carb needed replacement. I understand this happening and considered it just the luck of the draw for me. It’s not their fault. It has to wear out sometime and on someone. It happened on a Sunday. I spoke with the owner on the phone about it. Unfortunately he was out of town so he could not come by the house to fix it. He was very apologetic and said he could get it fixed for me first thing Monday morning and I could pick it up that afternoon. I tried my best to get him to take at the very least a half day charge but he would not take anything. Customer satisfaction was more important to him than the 80 bucks. That is why you go here and not a big box store to rent your equipment. They have a huge selection and when something goes wrong they fix it, the equipment and the relationship with the customer. No questions asked....
