Cafe Flat — Restaurant in Duluth

I absolutely love this place. The owner is always so nice, a ball of sunshine, always greeting and saying goodbyes whenever you enter/leave, which is such a small detail but left a good impression on me. They have a loyalty card every 10 stamps (by drink) will yield you a free croffle or drink if I remember.. The area is so clean, they aways clean when someone leaves. The music is calming and just, WOW the ambiance is really nice. The tables at the end of the place is really nice with charging outlets and a little drawer, perfect for studying/work. This cafe is also great for hanging out, it is not just a study spot. The bathroom which I don't really review was VERY NICE and clean. The photos you could take are so cute, especially the standing mirror,. You can also leave notes on the white board they have!

CROFFLES: The yuzu croffle is to DIE for. Their blueberry cream cheese croffle is nice too. Both creamcheese croffles are good ALSO their fresh cream fruit croffle. Their apple croffle is HUGE with a bunch of cream and what I'm assuming apple jam? in the croffle, so good. Honorable mention to the black sesame icecream croffle and lotus cookie croffle they were so good. Anything black sesame there is so good like their latte.

DRINKS: I recommend the most is Grapefruit Ade, not too sweet and perfectly bubbly, Vanilla earl grey latte, all the notes hit, Black sesame latte: black sesame ice cream scooped onto a latte, balancing sweet,...

Korean-owned, minimalistic, modern and clean cafe with unique lattes, coffees, and non-coffee beverages. You can even find delicious desserts like ice cream, milkshakes, and croffles here. There's something for everyone. Things you should know: I. PARKING Cafe Flat is within a plaza and shares a free parking lot with the adjacent businesses. II. SERVICE So sweet and generous..! The owner gave out samples of a chocolate swiss roll for all the customers to try at the cafe while I was visiting. They're great at keeping up with turning over the tables by keeping them clean between customers; also, this location is mindful with sounds so it is a perfect place to catch up with someone or get work done. III. QUALITY The cappucino I ordered was standard, but the chocolate swiss roll was very moist and soft ~ well made. I plan on coming back! IV. CAPACITY Fair amount of available seating during the weekday around noon. I'd say that's the best time to peacefully...

I had a coupon that had 11 stamps (the second card, 3 disappeared bc water got on it and the stamps faded) The lady accepted it but the service was really unkind. I brought my own cup, the drink was only half of the cup - about 10 oz and the matcha was way too sweet. Because she seemed pissed off about me using the stamps, I also forgot to ask how sweet the drink is or if there’s a way to make it less sweeter - ended up being too sweet.

If you’re going to be unhappy about people actually using the stamps why would you use that strategy? as a marketing tactic?

And if someone had spent enough money at your cafe to get 11 stamps, they’re a regular, aren’t you supposed to be kinder so that they would keep coming back?

I won’t be coming back nor be recommending this...
