I will never ever eat at Casa Grande on East West connector ever again. I had ordered a taco salad to go for lunch today. I pulled up to restaurant to go in and pick it up. I noticed a lady sitting in her van beside me had taken her order to go as well. She had it pulled out opened it up and moved stuff around on it. She took it back in. It looked like what may have been a taco salad but I waSnt sure. So I go in to pick up my order. There are two girls and a man, whom I assumed was the manager the way he was dressed wearing a tie. I said I'm here to pick up my order, the smaller girl asked what I had, I said a taco salad. The taller girl glanced over at her and kind of smiled at her and walked away as did the manager. I kind of felt weird about that. So I watched as the other girl proceeded to get my order together. I noticed she never went to the back and she said I'm just waiting on something else for your order. I was like ok. I continued paying attention to what was happening. She grabbed a container that was on the counter where she had been standing grabbed it placed it in a bag along with what the person from the back has brought up in a small container. I paid for my order and left. Thinking I should have paid more attention to the lady in the van to what she had. Luckily the lady was still there eating her food. So I went over to her and asked her said I'm sorry to bother you but I saw you took your food back in, was something wrong with it. She said oh no they just gave me the wrong order it was a taco salad. In the back of her van the two seats had been laid down and a big quilt spread over the seats with a big dog laying in the back. I said I think they gave me the salad you took back in. She said well I didn't touch it. I walked back in confronted the girl said did you just give me the salad that the lady just brought back in????¿¿¿ I kid you not, she said well she said she didn't touch it. So I said so you DID give me the salad she just brought back in???? She again said well she said she didn't touch it. I told her I want my money back. She said we can remake you one I said no I want my money back I can't trust your food now. She said let me get the manager. Sure enough Mr tie guy was the manager he came over acting like he didn't know what was going on. I told him I was given a salad someone else bright back in, he looked at the girl said did we do that? Knowing he was standing there when it happened. I told him you know the health inspector wouldn't have approved of that at all. He was like I know. He said we can remake it for you I said no give me a refund. I didn't know if I was more appalled at them giving me a salad that someone brought back in after handling it but "not touching it" or the fact that they admitted to doing that!!!!! Knowing she has a dog in the car made it even worse. Now I have a dog but I wash my hands constantly after doing anything with her especially if I'm about to eat or cook. I know her sitting in the van with the dog she had to have petted it at some point. OMG how sickening. They were like well she said she didn't touch it, I was like yeah I was right beside her when she was,,,," not touching it" ,,,,and she was...
Read moreWe were going for a holiday and a friends birthday. We were 5 African American women and expected to have a good time based off reviews. We arrived and it was really nice in appearance, and we signed our name for a table since they were all booked. The customers their were good and kind people. Then we decided to sit at the bar until our table was called. Once we arrived at this at the bar and were ignored by the waiters for 1 hour and a half. It took other customers to get the waiters attention for us. Then once we received help finally from another black woman, of course, we were told our table was ready. Me and one of the ladies paid for our drinks and food. Then we left with our receipts and gave our tips as well. But my card was dropped by the waiter, I was understanding because things happen. Still I was concerned because plastic does slide on hardwood surfaces.
I could obviously see she was overworked. I waited patiently and even offered to help locate it, but was harassed by the other employees. I was told that I was in the way by standing and observing in the vicinity of where my card was dropped. I was concerned that it was picked up or worse. Once it was retrieved, I joined my friends at the table we were seated at. My other four friends were seated outside. They had ordered but had not received their food, apparently my card had been lost for 30 minutes. During this 30 minutes they had waited for food and realized regretfully that we should have stayed at the bar. The music was better, and we had finally found a waiter who helped us.
Lastly, we left due to the fact that we were tired of waiting. My friend, whom birthday was today did not eat. The rest of the group, 2 women, had not ate anything either. Once we left we were accused of stealing. What made it crazy was the fact that we were accused because I had two to go plates in my hand. But this was food from the bar that I had paid for. This was food I had my card lost for and food I had receipts for. I couldn’t believe it. I have never done a review this long, ever. As a college educated woman, I am disgusted. This is insane, and disrespectful and racial profiling at its best.
I am disappointed in the manager that waited us at the table, for accusing us because I had two to go plates. I am disappointed in the waiters that passed us, over and over as we attempted to get help. Thank you for those that helped find my card this could have been worst but I feel bad for my birthday friend. She had a negative experience and was accused of something heinous. I am disappointed in the people that watched and didn’t say anything as we we’re racially profiled and it turned out that we did indeed pay for the two meals we had. Very...
Read moreWent to the drive thru today with my wife to get an order of fresh guacamole as we've often done anytime we're nearby. This was our 3rd time in about 30 days. So we get to the intercom and order as usual. The female mumbles back something about I'd have to order what's on the menu or we'd have call it in and it wait 25-30 minutes. I kindly asked her to repeat it because I wasn't sure that I heard her correctly because of how often I'd ordered this exact same thing and never heard anything like that before. Sure enough she said to order off the menu for 1 and for 2, it would take 25-30 minutes. So as I look at the menu, I see in bright colors "Fresh Guacamole" $14 and some change. No surprise to me as this is how I knew to order it in the first place, on the very first occasion. So I let her know that it is on the menu. I'm slightly perplexed at this point and she seems annoyed. After some silence she gives me the total and says to pull to the window. When she opened the window to take payment, I asked what was the 30 minutes for again and I was going to make sure we were talking about the same item but she cut me off with stank attitude saying "I didn't SAY 30"...I look at my wife, she continued "I SAID 25" and to pull up to wait for the order. I had to let her feel like she won something in that moment because I don't desire to play with misplaced emotional gen z tantrums, so I said nothing as she disappeared behind the closing limo tinted window. What a blessing, she was the one to bring the order to my car. As she begrudgingly handed me the bag, I thanked her. She said absolutely nothing, turned on a dime a walked back inside. The order by the way, took less than 10 like it normally does. Maybe she was mad it didn't take a full "25". Every other attendant at the window has been sweet and pleasant. This chick working the window at 2:39pm Friday, June 28th needs to leave her attitude at the door. If I happen to get her again, I'll just go to Kroger and get the...
