Went last week on the way to a friends house, thought I'd grab desserts for us. Just "ok". No pricing anywhere, so you'll have to ask prices on every single little thing you're interested in. That alone stopped me from really buying any extra stuff. Also, stuff in cases and on shelves along the walls, so it looked like it was self service, but there was no packaging anywere. So I guess you have to ask them for each single item also? And nothing had labels except the cake, so if you were unfamiliar with the desserts, there was no way to really know what they were other than the obvious like donuts and cake. I don't like guessing games when I'm trying to shop. I ended up just grabbing a cake slice from the fridge just so I wouldn't appear to be rude by just leaving. It was moist, but tasted just like every other bakery cake, so it was forgetable. Serving portion was large and for a good price. Everything looked to be fresh. I do prefer small businesses and wish for their success, but I wont...

I put the one strawberry sign and candle that...
Read moreA wonderfully sweet delight found in the most unexpected of places!! I had noticed this restored former Long John Silver before but didn't realize it was a bakery until I was searching for local non-chain donuts in Mableton. Oh my GOODNESS!! This was like hitting the motherloade!!! Many of the delights of those itsy bitsy Mom / Pop shops you stumble upon when travelling internationally, only 5 - 10 minutes away from any corner of Mableton. They've got fresh baguettes, donuts, pasteles, cake (slices), and just a great overall selection of the best of Latin America, plus basic coffee / cappuccino in case you need it like I did!! It's at the top of my list for cheat / treat days, and if it's not yet at the top of yours, I've got three more words that may put it there. Tres Leches...
