I didn't give you a 3rd star due to a sloppy server & an incident (see below). For bad service I give 15%, which she rcvd. If you view my other reviews you'll know I never give 5stars unless it's absolutely perfect but it's hard to attain. I believe people rate too high because they don't have the wherewithal to notice their surroundings to see what's actually going on & they don't take the time to actually care & think about things. If you do it at all, do it right, otherwise don't do it!
The store is clean. However, cleanliness is an issue - if you pay attention!
My partner had chorizo added to meal but they forgot it the 1st time they brought out "our food". They returned the plate to the kitchen (indicating they KNEW it was wrong to take from 1table & deliver to the next!) then came RIGHT BACK OUT WITH IT & TOOK IT TO ANOTHER TABLE --AFTER THEY SET IT IN FRONT OF US--. Once it's been on/to/at a table it stays or it's pitched. They did NOT do that in this case. The Health Dept considers that to be cross-contamination & unhealthy so I consider it to be unhealthy, as well. If I was at a BBQ then not so much. Restaurants have standards to follow so their customers, whom they rely on for repeat business, don't get sick. That, & poor service, is why have you 2stars - only because that didn't happen to me at our table where they brought someone else our food then brought it to me. After they delivered food my partner had to the other table they then brought his plate which he liked.
I had steak taco salad. Before I rcvd steak they delivered it with chicken. They then replaced it with steak. They added pretty much ALL the liquid & grease leftover from cooking steak & was more soup & then towards end of meal it turned into a stew. Lettuce was ruined - not crunchy - just limp. Everything tasted like steak. Sour cream, bell pepper, tomato, taco shell - EVERYTHING tasted like steak. I asked for no Pico de galo. Then I rqst'd tomato only, for which I was charged $1.00 for A FEW small SLICES OF TOMATO - NOT EVEN A WHOLE TOMATO CHOPPED for $1. They could've substituted Pico for tomato & called it a day. Instead she decided to charge me for a FEW slices. I wasnt pleased with my 'soup' or with being price gouged.
All were nice & store LOOKS clean - the reason I didnt 'hate it' for a 1star.
Bathroom is nice but we dislike liquid soap. Kudos on having paper towels.
Server: She's nice But not good. There were half a dozen tables, 6pm-730p 11.13.19 (we were there 1.5hrs - my time wasted!), a guy at the bar & someone picked up her ToGo. But they were NOT busy! -She made us wait to deliver 2 waters (2 WATERS ONLY!) while she took care of her bar customer & mixing drinks for other server's tables. -She made us wait to refill chips & salsa. -She made us wait on checking to see if things were ok. -She made us wait for refills of 2 waters. She could've asked, "can I get you anything" but didn't. -We made a point to ask for the check then after we waited some more she returned & made us wait MORE for her to even ASK if we thought it was time for her to bring check (did she forget about us or about the fact we asked for it?) then made us wait for her to actually deliver it. - ONLY for a table of 2 people.
We weren't overly demanding. We rqst'd normal things & asked for them when she was at our table, not stopping her while dealing with something else. We also rqst'd for those things for when "she came around next & not make a special trip". We were obviously not important enough as being bartender was for her.
I was even thinking about bringing a bunch of people from work but then the switching food thing happened & the bad service so the likelihood for our return is slim.
If you want to refund me, gift me a $50 gift card for fuel, correct your servers so they don't do that (in case health dept does a secret shopping), get rid of that gal then I'd consider returning. You should've comped my entire check but she added more charges onto it than...

The food was just ok, the salsa tasted like canned tomato paste with pieces of cilantro thrown in.
I travel a lot and I love Mexican food. In fact I eat Mexican at least once a week. I’ve eaten Mexican food in 26 states and in countless cities over the years, and I must say this one is one of the worst.
The staff wasn’t very welcoming, it took at least ten minutes to get our chips and salsa and several more minutes for our waitress to show up, (the restaurant wasn’t busy and just had a handful of patrons). My girlfriend is a very picky eater, but what she orders from every Mexican restaurant is very reasonable request. Three soft corn tortilla tacos with shredded chicken and lettuce only, but this time she wanted to change it up and get a taco salad with just lettuce, chicken, rice and beans, but the waitress said she would have to charge her extra for the rice and beans even though she’s having them take off the guacamole, sour cream and pico. The waitress said they couldn’t do that because of no substitutions, so she went back to her three soft corn tortilla tacos with just chicken and lettuce and the waitress said she couldn’t get soft corn tortillas for her tacos because those are for street tacos only and there are no substitutions allowed. She can only get regular tacos with a hard shell corn tortilla or a soft flour tortilla. Well, my girlfriend didn’t get anything and just told me to order which I did. I received my food and decided to get it to go because I wasn’t going to eat in front of her. We waited over 15 minutes and I finally got the attention of a worker that wasn’t even our server and asked him to get me a to go box and my bill. Our waitress was too busy chatting it up with other people to be bothered. She never returned to our table to check on us. The waiter who came over to give us the to go boxes was very nice. Read morePAY ATTENTION TO YOUR BILL... I ordered the Texas Nachos. This dish included bell peppers, shrimp, steak, and chicken. It was supposed to include cheese. They place the small container of cheese on the side of the plate. It was not drizzled over the dish itself. It was very dry. I asked the waiter what happened to the cheese and he said that it would be an extra charge. So I asked if I was supposed to eat it dry like that. The waiter stated that I could get more cheese for an upcharge. I couldn't eat it dry so I ordered the extra cheese which was $3.19 for the same tiny size that they placed next to the one that I received initially. The cheese that was given to me initially was not enough to cover 1/4 of the dish. LATER, I paid the waiter at the end cash and if there's any change to come back to you they take it out automatically. They just don't give it to you or tell you. My bill was $26.50 so they kept the $0.50. my friends bill was $11.12 so they kept the $0.88 with out telling you. This seems to be a practice with all of their tickets in addition to customers tipping the waiters... They are scaling each ticket for the change.
