This is a great place to stop. It's very close to I-95 & there is gas and food close by if you want to venture out. Don't let the exterior mall scene scare you off.
We were headed back from a Florida trip & wanted to drive 1/2 way. I searched hotels around the area off I95 where we wanted to make the stop. There were a lot to choose from but the reviews for this one stood out so we booked. I'll be honest, when we pulled into a Mall parking lot I started to have doubts. There is an old anchor store next to the hotel parking and it's basically falling apart. My husband looked at me like I had lost my mind š¬. I told him that the reviews were really good so we should check it out. The outside of the hotel itself looks fine. But the creepy outside surroundings is the reason I gave a 4 star on location. I'll add pictures so u can see. I was shocked when we walked in. It is a very nice lobby with a restaurant & bar. It was 5 p.m. on Saturday and the place was a bustle of activity with families & couples. We checked in with a very friendly desk clerk who told us that the complimentary reception with snacks & drinks was happening until 6:30. We went to our room for a quick break & then down for the reception. First, the room was a king suite. Great size & clean. It overlooked the parking lot so we could see our vehicle which made my hubby feel good. The fridge & microwave were good to have because we had leftovers from lunch. The separate living room with TV was good so I could watch TV without keeping my husband awake. I will say that we had a connecting door which made the noise from next door a bit loud but it was in the LR not the BR so it didn't cause any late night issues. Next, the reception. They had a large selection of liquor & draft beer with snacks during the complimentary 5-6:30 time. My husband had draft Bud & I got a rum punch. The bartenders were very friendly & fast! They also had the option to upgrade the spirits for a fee. It was a nice break after the day on the road. The snacks were fruit, popcorn, & trailmix type but they offer a full food menu& room service for $. I'll post pictures of the menus. On our way back to the room, we stopped in the little snack shop they have by the desk. They had a great selection of drinks, toiletries, & a coffee machine for latte or cappuccino. I'll post pics. The next morning we went to the complimentary cooked to order breakfast. The seating area was huge which was nice since there were lots of groups & families. There is a buffet w fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, grits, sausage, potatoes, bagels, bread, french toast & pancakes. And several cereal options. As if that isn't enough, they have a station where they will.cook eggs, omelets, & waffles for you. šš And of course they have all the juices & coffee options too. So. Much. Food. And the staff working the area was very nice & friendly.
I looked around the place. It has a pool, business center area, seating areas on different floors, & connected access to the Mall which still has a few open stores despite the look of it. We drive to Florida a couple of times a year usually & like to take our time so we will definitely save this as a stop...

I was contacted by the manager today K. Bass, I must say that I was quite surprised with the response and quick turnaround to address my wife and I concerns. Everything has been retified with a warm apology and other guest friendly gestures. Great customer service!
I selected this low rating, based on my experience. My wife and I came into town for a beach wedding which we shared upon checking in. We checked in got dressed in our room and noticed that it was hot in our room. I checked the thermostat and it read 72 degrees however, it felt more like 85 degrees. We got dressed to head out and I dialed the thermostat down to 68 with the expectation it would be freezing in our room upon our return.
Long story short, after a long day on the hot beach we came back to a hot room. I called for help to either be moved or have the AC fixed. I was offered a fan and told there was no available rooms to move us at the time. We said okay and tried to relax that is when we discovered the remotes for both TV's where not operable. We called back, a new set of batteries were brought up and installed. Letās just say, even with the fan that was given to us it was a long hot day and night for my wife and I. We finally could not take it anymore and ordered cold bottles of water in late ours of the night.
I must say I have never stayed at a hotel where the solution was a fan, it was laughable at the time but frankly spoke volumes about this chain/customer service/management. Do not get me wrong, we were thankful for the fan. Now because my wife and I have come from very humble beginnings we played the hand that was dealt.
The frustrating part about this whole ordeal was that the staff was aware of the problems with the AC prior to us arriving. The reason we knew this as there were other guest before us that had fans in addition the young lady who brought us the fan/batteries told us the room feels a lot better than earlier and that we were lucky.
I feel like the hotel took advantage and still charged us even though they were aware of the issues with the AC. The Hotel could have and should have been upfront with us from time of our arrival. I am a big advocate of customer service so my solution would have been as follows during checking us in:
"Mr.& Mrs. Calvert, on behalf of Embassy Suits by Marriot I would like to apologize, at the moment we are having issues with our AC. I can assure you that our staff and team are working diligently to correct this issue as well as accommodate any needs that can help make your stay as comfortable as possible while we rectify the issue.
If you would like to continue your process of checking in with us, we are prepared to offer your room rate at a discounted price for the inconvenience."
What I have mentioned above is type of ownership of the issue at hand that sends a clear message to the customer that you are upfront and that you genuinely care about the comfort and stay of the guest.
Kind...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Embassy Suites in Brunswick, GA, and I must say, it was an absolutely phenomenal experience. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was met with impeccable customer service by Matthew, delightful food, and the kind of warmth and care that truly made this hotel stand out.
Customer Service:
The front desk staff at this hotel was second to none. Taylor, who I can only describe as having the best personality ever (and such pretty nails), was a true gem. Matthew, Renee, Edna, and Diane were equally outstanding, ensuring that all my needs were not just met, but exceeded. ALL of their efficiency and friendliness left a lasting impression on me.
Corey and Richard the waiter were an absolute joy to interact with, always ready to make the dining experience even more memorable. I didn't dine there every night, but when I did, I was met with smiles, warmth, and a level of service that made each meal an event to savor. My stay from September 22nd to October 7th was made all the more memorable thanks to the food and the incredible staff.
As a travel agent myself, I understand the importance of a good guest experience, and I will definitely be sending my clients to Brunswick based on the outstanding experience and customer service that this hotel provided.
I also want to share a heartwarming experience with Corey. Each night, as I came through the doors of the lobby, he would always greet me with a warm smile and a friendly wave. One day, I was having issues with my room key, and I noticed Corey coming towards the door. To my surprise, as I finally got the door opened I assumed he was leaving out. He said "I was coming to let you in. I heard you struggling." It was such a kind and thoughtful gesture that made me feel truly cared for.
In summary, my stay at Embassy Suites Brunswick, GA, was nothing short of exceptional. The front desk staff, and the kitchen crew, under the guidance of Mr. Mike, made this trip unforgettable. The care and warmth shown by all the staff members I encountered, from Renee to Richard, and the small but significant acts of kindness like Corey's, left me with a desire to return to this wonderful establishment.
Additionally, I believe Embassy Suites should consider expanding its offerings to cater to vegan diets in the future. Mr. Mike's and Mr. Chris efforts to accommodate my vegan diet were truly appreciated, and it would be wonderful to see more options available for guests with dietary restrictions. Thank you for making my stay so memorable, and I look forward to...
