Somewhere between dodging fast food signs and arguing over playlists on our way home to North Carolina, we took a gamble and pulled off I-95 — and jackpot. Hidden inside a health food store (yes, really), we found a fusion food spot serving up a wild and delicious marriage of Asian and Mexican cuisine. And no, this wasn’t some sad chain restaurant with a broken ice cream machine — this was the real deal. The ingredients? So fresh they probably had a sunrise yoga session before hitting the plate. Every dish we tried was bursting with bold flavor — think Korean BBQ meets taco Tuesday with a little garden magic sprinkled in. The menu was packed with unique options that made us wish we had three more stomachs. The outdoor seating was a huge bonus, especially since we had our four-legged travel companion with us. Not only was the patio peaceful and shaded, but they actually whipped up a homemade local pork and veggie dog bowl for our pup. He looked at us like, “So this is how royalty eats?” To wash it all down, we sipped on a hibiscus lemonade that was basically summer in a cup — refreshing, floral, and just sweet enough without making our teeth feel like they needed a dentist. The service? Top notch. Friendly, fast, and genuine — the kind of service that makes you feel like you're eating at a friend’s place (if your friend was an award-winning chef). Speaking of which, the chef even came out to check on us — a rare and awesome touch. And the location couldn’t be more convenient — right off the highway, with a Sam’s Club across the way where we topped off the tank and were back on the road in no time. Moral of the story: if you’re cruising down I-95 and think your only options are sad fries and regrets — think again. This place is fresh, flavorful, and totally worth the detour. Even our dog agrees. 🐾

Hidden Gem for Ramen Lovers! World’s Edge is a modest, unassuming spot tucked inside the health food store, but don’t let its low profile fool you—this place serves some of the best ramen I’ve ever had in town! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for a casual meal. Despite the modest setting, the quality of the food rivals high-end ramen shops. The broth is deeply flavorful, with just the right balance of richness and seasoning. Their noodles are fresh and perfectly cooked, delivering the ideal chew in every bite. What truly sets World’s Edge apart is their attention to detail and inclusivity. They offer fantastic a small variety of ramen options that don’t compromise on taste—full-bodied, hearty broths paired with fresh vegetables and proteins (including plant-based) I was blown away by the depth of flavor in their ramen. World’s Edge is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back!

We were passing through and discovered this gem! If you are from Atlanta, you can liken this sweet spot to Little 5 Points' Sevenanda. It has tons of holistic care and vitamins! The art is cool and the food at the Cafe was bomb!!! The sweet young lady made sure we were good and full!!! She even topped off our hibiscus and pineapple juice with a free refill for the road. You don't get this in city spots! We had the EDO & SPARTA with blackened mushrooms. It was so yummy, we couldn't stop eating it, even after being full! In most places that we eat quinoa or rice bowls, we hardly get full. This place serves it up, and you leave beyond satisfied!!! It was a great ending to our road trip where everything seemed to be centered around local seafood and basic American fare. Oh! Great prices for fresh, colorful, healthy meals where some of the ingredients are sustainably and locally sourced!
