I don’t normally leave bad reviews on places unless it was a truly bad experience, but this one was personal for me. I had worked late and thought I’d go here because I just recently lost my girlfriend, and this was one of our favorite spots. I came in with well over an hour before close and there was also two other people sitting and inside. As well as a couple people on the patio. As soon as I walked up to order a lady with a ridiculous amount of eyeliner on immediately had an attitude like she was annoyed I was even there I gave my order perfectly clearly. She yelled back at me asking me a question that I clearly had just told her just being extremely rude. It was already bad enough that there was super loud country music playing Where every single song was about losing your love in some type of way, so that was difficult for me. The staff was cleaning up, being super loud, laughing, talking, running around all those things I couldn’t even hear myself think between them and the music but they were very obviously annoyed that I was sitting there, even though there were still 30 something minutes before they closed. Eyeliner lady, then walk directly up to me with an attitude once again and said she’d have to let me out when I left because the doors locked. OK that’s fine but it was very obvious she was trying to rush me out of there. Had planned on ordering a milkshake so once I realized how she was being, I went straight up and ordered it. Finished my food about 15 minutes or so later and still waiting for them to call my number for the milkshake so I’m getting more glances like they were annoyed that I was in there at all. Turns out she had just sat it on the counter where it sat so long it had totally melted. I didn’t catch his name but when I finally went up to ask this really nice white guy did apologize and wish me a good evening and all those things which was very nice because it was already a hard day for me already. Once I walked out I realized, half the cup was completely covered in the milkshake. I tried knocking back on the door so I could get some napkins. He looks great to me and turned away. So then I went up to the drive-through window on the side and knocked. Someone’s attention and got some napkins finally after another couple minutes he passed. I specifically drove across town to this location because this was our favorite one to come to. Needless to say, I’ll never be coming to this...
Read moreWe're out of state visitors from Houston Texas, we chose this place by the stars and reviews. However it was a total disaster coming to this place. We went through the drive thru to order our food. We ordered 3 trays and one burger, but was charged for 5 trays and 1 burger. It took the drive thru cashier 15 minutes to try and attempt to get our order correctly. One of the cashiers realized she couldn't fix our order, and we were asked to come inside where we spent 30 minutes trying to fix our order. We never spoke to the manager until we fully requested, since the cashier still couldn't get the order correctly. The reason we couldn't speak to the manager was because there was a shift change going on, but as I explained to the cashier customer's come first and this could've simply been taking care of .She over charged us for food we didn't get and the service was horrible. What makes it so bad was at the end we just wanted our money back and we returned the food simple as that. However the manager couldn't figure out how to credit us back with the ticket the cashiers rung up. We will never go back to this place and I will never recommend this place to anybody. I don't know the names of the people due to the fact they didn't have name tags on. I'm just very offended that our first time to this city we were treated horrible, and that it seems nobody knew anything about customer service. The great thing about traveling is that you get to try food places that you don't have where you come from. Also my husband called Corporate which seems to be a dead end since they're hours was from 7:30am to 11p. We left a vm with our name and number due to the services we've recieved, so this review is the...

I've been a fan of Cook-Out since I first tried them a few years ago. Food is always delicious, and you can't beat the price or the variety of items to choose from. But I need to give a special shout out to the staff that work here.
Me and the gal went over to get some late night eats at around 1 AM last night. The line started outside the parking lot, and the usual gaggle of KSU students crowding around the walk-up window was present as always. We ended up having to wait a while, but once we did make it to the window it became apparent why. There couldn't have been more than maybe two or three of them inside, fighting for their lives as they tried to keep their heads above water, so to speak. And despite the absolute swarm of people, they still managed to keep the line moving AND got my two special order items 100% correct.
I can't speak highly enough of the hard work those folks were putting in last night. They really needed more help, but were making the best of the situation.
All that being said...food was excellent as always. I recommend the big doubles, the chicken quesadillas, the white cheddar bites, and their milkshakes (they have a lot of flavors to choose from, which is awesome). The gal had a couple of Cook-Out style hot dogs, a wrap, and some fries, which she also loved. If you're going late, be prepared for a long line at times, especially considering their proximity to the KSU campus. I've never had a bad experience with the staff, and always find that if I'm polite with them it is reciprocated in response. I'll...
