I am appalled by the service I received today at your establishment. I came in specifically to order the Vegan Banana Pancakes and the Vegan Breakfast. While placing my order, I overheard a staff member mention they were out of something, but I didn’t catch the full comment at the time. I proceeded to sit and wait for my food.
When my order was finally ready, the employee handed me my food and casually mentioned, "By the way, we didn’t have any bananas, so it’s just strawberries on the pancakes," as if that were acceptable. Not once did anyone inform me beforehand or offer me the courtesy of choosing a different item. The menu clearly states BANANA PANCAKES — not whatever-we-have pancakes.
On my drive home, I realized how completely unprofessional and unacceptable that was. Upon opening my food at home, the situation worsened. The breakfast potatoes included with my Vegan Breakfast looked and tasted like they had been sitting for hours. As a cook myself, I can immediately recognize food that is stale and past its prime.
This was my fourth visit to your restaurant, and by far THE WORST experience. I called to speak with a manager to voice my concerns. A young lady answered, asked for the issue, and then transferred me. The "manager," Gavin, answered with confusion and a complete lack of professionalism. I had to repeat my concerns, only for him to laugh while I explained the situation.
Let me be clear: laughing at a customer's complaint is absolutely unacceptable behavior from any employee, let alone a manager. Gavin then asked how I paid, and when I informed him it was with cash, he responded with a snide attitude, questioning how he was supposed to refund me and asking if I planned to come back. His tone was disrespectful, dismissive, and completely out of line.
Ultimately, he offered a gift card as compensation, but by that point the damage was done. When I asked for his name, I made it clear: Gavin has no business managing anything — his attitude, lack of professionalism, and blatant disrespect toward customers are disgraceful.
After today, I will never return to this establishment. I was mistreated, disrespected, and made to feel as if my concerns were a joke. Completely...
Read moreAs regular Saturday morning breakfast diners, we are always on the lookout for a new place to try. It's always a gamble since we do have our favorites already - but it's good to venture out there. The concept here might seem a bit odd - like why to two restaurants show up on maps (Morning Shift & Night Shift). But I guess the idea is to keep each section dedicated to the different concepts. Seems like a waste of real estate rental costs but who am I to judge restaurant entrepreneurship. Actually, I respect the effort that restaurants go through to try new things. So, that said, we haven't been to the Night Shift part so we'll stick with the Morning Shift. The overall reviews are quite high for this restaurant so I was optimistic. But the first thing that hit us as we walked in was a Sulphur smell. It seemed to dissipate after a while - or maybe we just got used to it. Ordering is done at the counter, although you can take the menu to your table, decide what you want and then go back and order. That might not work on a very busy day, however. I ordered the Classic Omelet, my wife had the Owl Breakfast, and our daughter ordered the Not So Basic Breakfast. Presentation was excellent - everything was picture worthy. But something was missing....something in the flavor or texture. I didn't enjoy my omelet - it's hard to describe why...maybe the fluffiness of a 3 egg versus a two egg omelet ( this was a 2 egg version); maybe since it was filled with veggies, another egg might have been needed to compensate for the amount of stuffing. My daughter didn't like the grits...I thought they were ok, but not the best I've had. Maybe a creamier texture would help - but I'm not sure. My wife said her meal was ok although she said she wouldn't order it again. Positives - service was great, the coffee was good and served in real cups, which I appreciate. The service brought it up to 4 stars. All in all, will we go back? Got to think...

Very overpriced - not even considering that the food and coffee were devoid of typical flavor and temperature - "edible" is the most positive adjective for the food's flavor is descriptive. And the coffee... Bland and weak - like three-day-old generic instant coffee. And the "cinnamon butter" was so salty - but with no discernable sweetness and only the slightest "cinnamon" flavor - made it inedible for both of us. The regular "butter" was also very salty - although not nearly as inedibly salty as the "cinnamon butter." But both were some whipped nobody-believes-this-is-butter lipid concoction likely to clog arteries and deaden taste buds. The only reason I didn't rate one star was that the staff was friendly—at the counter and when dropping off the food. Otherwise, there was absolutely no redeeming quality in the food and drink quality, flavor, and temperature—nor speed or quality of service. The two takeaways from this restaurant are:
