My wife and I have passed by this place many times but it's usually too early in the morning, but today we drove by and they were open so we stopped in, this was during lunch hours, around 2pm on a Thursday (today). This is a small cozy place with maybe 10 tables, with an ordering counter and the dining area is a small sunroom with windows that open. They have a LARGE menu of subs/sandwiches; I think there are a total of 26 of which 13 or so that are usually served cold, and the rest served hot, but of course you can change any ingredient or temperature. All of the ingredients were extremely fresh. I was feeling like having something with avocado on it, so the server suggested the "Grateful Dave", which has turkey, white shredded cheese, lettuce, tomato, alfalfa sprouts, avocados, jalapeños or banana peppers and "cosmic sauce" served on a hoagie roll. Mine was delicious. The cosmic sauce is some kind of mayo based (maybe) sauce with maybe a little horseradish sauce or some kind of relish - not sure but it tastes incredible! This sub is a MUST try if you are in the Decatur area, every mouthful was a garden of flavor to the pallette. I ate both portions and could have eaten another, even though I was gorged full. My wife's was equally awesome, she had the Cosmic Dave, I believe; hers had prosciutto ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato, jalapeño and the cosmic sauce, and it was also a mouthwatering treat. We are going to stop by each time we can and walk our way thru the menu. Glad we finally stopped here, the prices are CHEAP and the food is EXCELLENT.

Stopped here for lunch. Surprised I have never visited before as I love Emory Village. I had the Dave's Veggie and it was great!! I love tart veggie subs with lots of vinegar and this was perfect! Lots of artichokes, banana peppers, pickles and three types of cheese! The bread was great! I had it toasted and it was crisp on the outside but soft on the inside. I love their bagged chips! I had the Funky flavor and it was great!! Interesting pop selections. I had a Barq's red soda. It was tasty! Their seating area is small but colorful which lots to look at. They have a spatial parking lot shared with a couple of other businesses. Staff was friendly and they had a lot of yummy looking desserts (cookies, brownies, etc) but I didn't have any. Big menu with lots of great looking subs!!

I think some added touches to this place could make it a gem. My partner got the classic Daves and I got the Grateful Daves and had them leave the onions off. - over all, the sandwhich was fine. The bread was crisp, and the toppings were minimal, other than the sprouts which I loved! If I’d go again, I’d add mayo and hot peppers to my sandwich and more tomatoes. - the joint seems it’s doing the bare minimum to stay open inside though which is unfortunate because this is a cool little spot. The soda fountain wasn’t in order and they had no cans or bottles of soda to purchase? Only a couple of chip options. We got tea and it ran out on us as we were filling. I’d go back and get my sandwich made a different way to try this place again. But from my first experience this is not my new go-to place. Edit: I have yet to go back and probably won’t.
