I live in Japan and stayed in Atlanta for two months. I reflect on my time here—spending days in an unfamiliar environment far from home—I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the kind couple who own Donut Stop. Their warm hospitality brought me both encouragement and comfort during this exciting yet sometimes lonely chapter. Every morning, this couple would arrive early at their shop to prepare fresh donuts with great care. On my way to school, I would stop by Donut Stop to enjoy their freshly baked donuts and a cup of coffee for breakfast. Their donuts gave me a sense of comfort and peace that is hard to describe—something that reminded me of the warm breakfasts my mother used to make long ago. There are many donut shops in Japan, including Mister Donut, which originally started in the U.S. but now has its headquarters in Japan and is as common as McDonald's. Still, very few shops make fresh, handmade donuts daily without relying on machines. In Japan, the word handmade carries the meaning of something valuable and trustworthy. The handmade donuts at Donut Stop, freshly made each morning, were more than just a delicious treat—they were nourishing and dependable, both physically and emotionally. As I look back on these precious two months of challenge and growth in Atlanta, I know I will also remember the sweet warmth of those handmade donuts for a long time. I wonder if I will ever return to Atlanta and have another chance to enjoy them. I sincerely hope so!

I LOVE this place! Super cozy and they make the donuts fresh here every morning and you can tell! That being said, the hot chocolate and coffee are mediocre and one time my hot chocolate looked slightly soapy (could be from the disposible cups they use, I have no idea tho) BUT they have PLENTY of other beverage options from the refrigerator, water, chocolate milk, etc. šŸ˜‹ Also the staff here is very sweet 🄰 They DO accept š’„š’‚š’”š’‰ in case any one was curious about that! My recommendations are the "apple stick", "strawberry glazed" donut (delightfully crispy on the outside!), and the sausages rolls (regular or jalapeƱo are both good, the regular also has cheese bits in it! šŸ’ž) You can get filling breakfast of a delicious sausage roll, donut and drink for under 10 bucks šŸ‘ šŸ‘

Local donut shop close to Central Forsyth HS. Good selection of donuts. We especially loved the blueberry, double chocolate and old fashioned with chocolate frosting. I walked in there around 8 something in the morning and some of the donuts were sold out already. I did let the associate (not sure if that’s the owner) know it was my first time and she actually gave me a few glazed donut holes that were delicious. Great customer service. I paid $18.18 for a dozen which was on expensive side but at least they were good. We got into the donuts before I could take pictures.

Every donut I've ever tried at Donut Stop had been everything it should be and more. To out it into one word, they are fantastic.

If you get a filled donut they fill it as you watch with a filling of your choice. The raspberry is very good inside of a glazed donut and the Bavarian Cream in a chocolate frosted is my other favorite combo. They also have a great lemon filling and today I noticed a "white" filling on the menu which I haven't tried but assume is a sweet whipped cream type of filling. I bet that's good in a chocolate frosted donut too.

I've also had the apple fritter which is excellent, and the twist donuts are also great. And be sure to get some donut holes for the ride home, they melt in your mouth and are...
