Who buys a vehicle without test driving it? Incredibly, I did. I'm from Houston, Texas. I've been looking for a Range Rover for a few months. The kind I was looking for was the diesel. It was difficult to find at the price that I wanted. I was looking for a 2017 or 2018. The majority I saw was between $33,000 and $38,000. Then I saw this clean looking Range Rover diesel from a dealership in Cummings,Georgia, Sawnee Mountain Motos. My God, it was clean! The vehicle report on it from Carfax said it had one minor accident. Whenever I do anything, especially trying to make a purchase, I always look at reviews, even when I hire contractors. Google reviews will tell you a lot. So the first thing I did was search for the bad reviews. Incredibly, this dealership only had two. They had dozens of positive reviews, but only two bad reviews. So, I looked at both bad reviews, One seemed to be a disgruntled individual that u couldn't make happy about trivial stuff, and the dealership basically set him straight. In the second bad review, the dealership took ownership and apologized to the individual and wanted to make it right. That's it. Well, because of the reviews, I decided to look further into this vehicle. What I noticed was that the vehicle was priced way lower than every other vehicle at the same age and the same model and mileage. That set off some alarm bells. Usually, when people do that, there is something wrong with the vehicle. But I had all those positive reviews, so I decided to take a chance and called the dealership. I spoke with Mike, and he told me everything about the vehicle and said nothing was wrong with the vehicle. He also said that the inside of the vehicle was incredibly clean. Pictures would not do it justice. For some reason, I trusted Mike and this dealership, mainly because of the reviews. In the business that I'm in, reviews can make or break the deal. So, I trusted my intuition, and I decided to purchase the vehicle. After the vehicle was finally delivered to my home, I could not believe what was in front of me. Just like Mike said, the inside was incredible. The pictures I saw online did not do it justice at all. The outside was equally as impressive. The first thing I did was open the hood and looked at the engine. Again, I was blown away. I could not believe how clean the engine was. So then I started my new vehicle and she purred. I've had this vehicle now for about 1 month, and oh my God. I still can't believe what an incredible deal I got. I almost feel like I stole this vehicle from the dealership. I almost feel guilty. They sold me this vehicle for almost $6,000 less than the average price. I am in love with my new Range Rover! I am forever a Sawnee customer! Any vehicle I get from now on, I will contact Mike 1st. I still can't believe I bought a vehicle without test driving, but I am incredibly...
Read moreI purchased a 2015 Subaru Forester from Sawnee Mountain Motors about a month ago for my daughter who lives in South Carolina. I purchased the vehicle at night (don’t make the same mistake.) On a 6 hour drive into South Carolina, my daughter’s newly purchased vehicle began showing problematic symptoms. All of the lights on the dash illuminated and the car began driving in distress. She also discovered that the dashboard under the passenger side dash was missing and there were wires hanging out by the passenger’s foot. As she continued to make her way back home into South Carolina, the car continued to signal every warning light on her dash while hesitating to drive. She had to continuously pull over and shut the vehicle off. She called me and I immediately called Michael, the owner of Suwanee Mountain Motors. He told me to bring the car back to him as his warranty covers up to 30 days or the first 1,000 miles. However, after having Subaru diagnose the vehicle, the problem was labeled as a drivability concern regarding a transmission issue. Michael gave me advice on how to “fix” the problem temporarily so that my daughter could drive the car back to him. This lets me know that he knew about this Subaru’s issue when he sold me the car. To fix the issue, Subaru said it would be $1900. I then reached back out to Michael and after many attempts of asking him to pay for it, he agreed to pay only $800 of the total cost to fix. He kept insisting that my daughter drive the car 6 hours to his shop, while SUBARU who knows the car better than any mechanic told me this vehicle is a drivability concern and she should not drive it long distance. Save your time and money and skip these second hand dealers. You end up losing money on lies, and you worry about the safety of your family when driving...
Read moreI am giving a review based upon overall shopping experience and high praise for the dealer to offer quality vehicles and a guarantee with every purchase. I also know for years they have been in business of their great reputation from others who purchased vehicles. And in discussions with sales personnel they have multiple financing options to help customers complete the transaction. Unfortunately they did not have the right vehicle for my purchase at this time and I purchased at another competing dealer in the area nearby.
However, one big critique of this dealer of an irritant in the shopping process is that this dealer leaves listings marked sold on the website of available inventory for very long time, and I mean weeks. At the time of this review they have 16 sold listings on their website of vehicles offered for sale. I don’t know if this is laziness, carelessness, or perhaps to feed the owners ego to show prospective customers he is selling cars. But as a consumer these sold listings that I am unable to buy only causes me frustration, and waste my time to go through available inventory and still see vehicles I am unable to buy. A sold vehicle is not available inventory by any definition.
I also wasted additional time to have to go visit the dealer lot to look at vehicles because I had zero confidence in the website that the vehicle offered was still for sale. And I was ready to buy an Infinity SUV and only to discover it had been sold a week earlier at auction but was on the website and this time had no sold listing imprint on...
