This is NOT authentic Mexican food. I hate to be the one to say it, but this food was bad all the way across the board. (Check my other reviews, I went on a mission to find the best Mexican food in Douglasville so I’ve had my share of good and bad experiences.) It was our first visit to this Mexican restaurant, so we ordered a lot of food to try. Carne asada, steak fajitas, burritos, ceviche, rice and beans, chicken tenders and fries, and of course chips and salsa and a side of queso. One item was appetizing and that’s the free chips and salsa, they were delicious. The rest of the food lacked flavor, the meats seemed low quality, it was just all around terrible food. This is not authentic Mexican cuisine, I would say “Tex Mex” would be more accurate. Our wait times were horrendous also. The poor waitress was doing her best, but it seemed like she was being stretched to her limit. I don’t blame her at all, she did what she could. We waited forever to order, waited forever to get food, waited forever to get the check. I just wanted to get the check and leave, but we had to wait and wait to get our check.

They DO have Birria Tacos. It isn’t on the menu- just ask your waiter. Comparing to a Birriaria (all they do is Birria) where we were first introduced to this deliciousness in San Antonio, TX
well this isn’t quite the same. For one, here it is loaded with onions and while I like them, so many onions takes over the flavor. The flavor was just missing the depth but we did finish the plate. Also, they serve it with a side of soup instead of aux jus for dipping. I suppose that is their way to make it an actual side. The little cup is hot sauce. We came here just for the Birria so I couldn’t attest to the rest of the menu.

I dont know what to say about this place. I orderd beef notches and asked the waitress what type of beef. She answered ground beef. I thought it was authentic and she said you are in the USA. What a smart ass! After a good 20 min. wait I got a plate full of greasy cheese and tortilla chips. I refused the nachos as the manager tried to explain this is normal. I don't think so, I've ate alot of nachos in my day. Service is terrible they cant evern refill my sweet tea. Avoid this place and drive to the next Mexican restaurant, you will be happy you did.

This is my first negative review, ever. I have been coming to this restaurant for 16/17 years.. It’s never been a really awesome experience to sit down to eat.. the service is always extremely slow.. However, we typically order to go. I’ve had minor issues throughout the years, but nothing major or anything management hasn’t handled.. I’ve never had a terrible experience until tonight. The price of the food was almost triple what was on the website. Everything has gone up in price so even though it was way more expensive than what it’s worth, still ordered. $75 for 6 standard items.😳 My husband went to pick it up & tried to pay with $100 bill. The same rude girl who took my order told my husband she couldn’t give him change for the $100. NEVER ONCE offered to go get change, ask a manger what she should do, how they could try to resolve the issue, nothing. Just told him everyone is paying with large bills so she didn’t have $20 to return. Told him that she could TAKE the $100 but couldn’t give him anything back. So, he told her he guessed he couldn’t get the food. She did not care one bit. Did not attempt to solve the issue. Just said “okay, that’s fine.” I called & ask for the manager (was on hold for 6/7 minutes) The manager WAS THE WORST. He cared even less than she did & was even more rude than her. He tried lying on multiple occasions, made excuses for her & then insinuated that since they have change now (an hour and a half later) that I could come pick it up. I told him I wouldn’t be picking it up and he said “okay then” & hung up.

We are understanding people & know things happen. It’s the rude, lack of respect & “idgaf” attitudes that I have zero patience for.

EDITED TO ADD I received a call from the restaurant today. (The day after the incident.) I wasn’t able to answer but no voicemail was left. A few hours later I was able to call back. The same rude girl answered. I told her I had a missed call from this number. She said it was probably a wrong number. I hesitantly said “okayyy?” & she hung up. Didn’t ask for my information to relay it back to anybody, in case someone intentionally did call me. Just hung up. Normally, this encounter wouldn’t bother me the slightest. However, this was just ANOTHER negative interaction. NO PROFESSIONALISM...

So, I am torn on this one guys. My family and I just moved to the area. We were so excited to see that we had a TexMex place within walking distance that had a decent star rating. So, after being here for about a week we decided to go try it. I got the Tamales, my wife got the hot n spicy burrito, my uncle got several different types of tacos, and my kids had kids menu stuff. The kids menu stuff was surprisingly good. So, 5 stars on the kids menu. My uncle enjoyed the tacos and rated them at 3-3.5 stars. My wife really liked the hot n spicy burrito......but said it wasn't amazing. So maybe 3-4 stars on that one. My tamales were a disaster, they were obviously sat under a heating lamp for way too long before being served. They came out without a corn husk wrapping, and were dry and hard. Instead of the soft pillow like texture one would expect. They also severely lacked in flavor. So negative stars on that one. However, service was a 4. So, all around just a meh experience. We were expecting more due to the hyped reviews. This is honestly a 3 star joint all day guys, don't let the positive reviews fool you. They have some things to work on, but not a bad joint to eat at. Oh lastly, the prices were very fair. They are reasonably priced.

EDIT SECOND VISIT- I always give places a second chance. Knowing that we didn't have such a good time the first visit my wife and I intentionally went for lunch when they first opened so we could try the food fresh. The chips were freshly cooked, but had no seasoning......not even salt, just straight from the oil to our table. Their salsa has zero spice to it and tastes as if it is store bought. I wanted to give them a fair shot so I ordered 1 hard taco, 2 enchaladas, and 1 tamale. The taco was decent however there again the meat had no seasoning not even chili powder or garlic, nothing. Same for the tamale and enchalada they were just bland bland bland. Then I asked the waitress if the tamales and enchaladas were store bought. It turns out unless it is chicken from the grill or their signature bland beef it is store bought and just warmed up. My wife and I won't...

For the last three years I have been a WEEKLY customer! Faithfully every Tuesday my family, myself & my daughter go for taco Tuesday! When Covid-19 hit and they shut their doors and only did take out we REMAINED weekly customers! Every Tuesday still ordering our usual which equals to over $50 after tip. Even though every week since we’ve done takeout our order was wrong. EVERY SINGLE TIME! But today, our weekly trips will come to a cease! I ordered my takeout and was told the wait would be about 40 minutes. After waiting 45 minutes I went in to pick up my order. I was told the takeout orders were backed up and it would be a few minutes longer. After waiting an HOUR, I asked two different employees one being the MANAGER to check my order. They were both extremely rude and responded with “its cinco de mayo what do you expect?” Finally they bring my order out and to my surprise because I’ve waited over an hour, it’s COLD!!!! We ordered four different meals and every single one of them was cold! Like it had been sitting there for at least 15-20 minutes. My large cheese dip was nothing but clumped together block cheese because it had been sitting so long. After multiple staff members saying the takeout was backed up I couldn’t believe not one of my meals was hot or even warm. I had to bring it home and completely re heat it for my family! After being such a faithful and known customer to this establishment I am beyond disappointed in the service today and I doubt I will...
