(Review By @SoldByMarvin on Instagram/TikTok) "Flavors of Africa" is a must-visit African restaurant that offers an authentic and diverse range of dishes from different African countries. It’s unfortunate that the minority of folks whose experience may not have been positive seem like the majority… but reality is that this spot is amazing and yes it’s prepacked but they’ve figured out how to lock in the flavors when prepped so it taste home cooked when warmed up. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with beautifully crafted decor and traditional art all around. The menu features a variety of dishes, including popular options like meats, Jollof Rice, Kenyan Kale, and Fufu. The portions are generous and the flavors are bold and delicious. One of the standout features of "Flavors of Africa" is their commitment to offering a range of vegan options. The vegan selection includes dishes such as plantbased Egusi soup,Jollof rice, puff puff, chin chin, a flavorful spinach stew, and Fried Plantains, a staple side dish in many African countries. The vegan options are not only delicious but also visually appealing, with vibrant colors and a variety of textures. The restaurant also offers a range of refreshing and flavorful Seamoss drinks, including traditional African teas and juices, that perfectly complement the food. In conclusion, "Flavors of Africa" is a fantastic restaurant that offers a unique dining experience, showcasing the diverse and rich flavors of Africa. Whether you're a meat-lover or a vegan, you'll find something to love on the menu. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating, making sure that each and every customer has a fantastic dining experience. I highly recommend "Flavors of Africa" to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious African cuisine, with a range of vegan options available for those who prefer a plant-based diet.

I would not recommend anyone to eat at this place! First off, I ordered oxtail with egusi and fufu. Instead of oxtail they sent me goat meat. I have been eating oxtail long enough to know what it looks and taste like. So, I requested a refund because I didn’t get what I paid for. The next day, the OWNER calls my phone saying “you are stealing from us, and do you know what happens to people that steal from us?” Then she proceeded to tell me that she is going to put a curse on my life that she is going to curse my car to break down and other things to happen in my life” and after she told me about putting a curse on my life she said bye and hung up in my face. All in all I am covered by the blood of Jesus Christ and I rebuke and bind and curse that this woman or whoever tried to put on my life or anyone else’s. That is pure evil and no one should have to go through anything like that. She never seemed concerned that my food was incorrect, didn’t want to hear anything I had to say and I even have a picture of my food showing that it is not oxtail.

I was really excited to eat some African food tonight but I have to be honest the taste of the food and its quality is really off. The Chin Chin was the best item from my order. The spinach and Jollof Rice were over seasoned. The Puff Puff has a very weird after taste and they were stale. The Sheba stew chicken taste decent but it’s not much of a stew. The food isn’t horrible but it isn’t good great. It doesn’t taste like authentic African food. I’m not saying that the people running this establishment aren’t from some part of Africa but there is just something off about the taste. Update: Never got free food from Applebees or Grubhub. You food was bad simple . You seriously need help. Stop using God to excuse your rudeness and speak negativity on to peoples lives. God don’t like ugly and your spirit is vain.

Edit: The owner called me a liar in their response to my review. I ordered food at one of your food trucks. Therefore, here is a more detailed review: For a styrofoam box of food, it cost me ~$24 incl. tip. I gladly paid the tip and I still have no regrets paying the tip. However, the rice was reheated in a microwave in front of me at the food truck and was cold and partially cooked. There were 3 small pieces of meat and a spoonful of veggies. There was NOT $20 worth of food or even $10 worth. I was quite shocked at RICE costing $8. I was quite shocked at the total bill and the amount of food I received but most of all I was shocked at the quality of the food and the fact that you microwave your food before serving. I have eaten at Caribbean food trucks where they serve so much rice, plantains, veggies and meat that I need to split it between 2 meals and it still only costs $10 total WITH a drink. They cook or heat their food on a grill in the truck in front of me. THAT was my problem with your food. All these reviews say your establishment does not serve good food. Maybe instead of calling me a liar, you need to take the criticism and improve your business. Why would I review your business poorly for any other reason? I WANTED your...

I feel like I was just robbed. Found this restaurant online. Looked at their menu and called up. First off, the owner wants to charge more than the listed price on HER website. And when you dispute the overage, she makes it seems as if she is giving you a discount! The nerve! It then takes 35 minutes for food she already claimed that has been pre-made! The worse of it; the food was HORRIBLE! I ordered the moi moi, fried plantain, jollof rice, and goat meat! This food was a joke. The moi moi did not look like you typical moi moi and it was gooey and under cooked on the inside. The jollof rice does not resemble or even come close to tasting like jollof rice. The fried plantain looked like it soaked in grease and then dropped in the fryer before the oil was hot enough. It is not golden color like I am used to my fried plantain. How can you mess up fried plantain? A child can make fried plantain! AND THEN THE WORSE PART!!! The GOAT MEAT! You cannot justify a $10 meal if your customer takes only one bite of goat meat. It was literally ALL bone!!! I am so mad! We do not have the luxury of going out for lunch, so I am now stuck with horrible food that I am going to trash and an empty stomach! Will never eat...
