I normally enjoy Panda Express, but this one gave me my worst teriyaki Chicken experience ever. I went through the drive through at 8:45 on a Friday, it moved super slow. The lady taking the order didn't understand when I placed an order for a teriyaki chicken bowl and then to simply double the order for a total of two. (One for my daughter) she stumbled over the order then told me to drive around for my total. Ten minutes and 3 cars later I got to the window. The associate was in and out of the window box having never greeted me or anything. She opens the window and holds out her hand with a smile. No words, just a motion like "where's your money?" I hand her my card and ask how much it is. She says it's 7.10, which is too low so I know she failed to "double" the order. I correct the order with a laugh like it's no big deal. We're all human. So she doubles it, charges me the 14+ dollars for 2 meals. Then she leaves the window without giving me the drinks I ordered, goes back in and yells at somebody and comes back and tells me that my second teriyaki bowl will be another 3-4 minutes. I'm starting to get irritated here, but I say ok, I'll wait. So I pulled ahead, parked, and waited. 6 or 8 minutes later a different associate comes out with a large bag and hands it to me with a fairly sincere apology for my wait. No drinks of course. I sent her back for my 2 Dr Peppers. She came out a moment later with those, and another friendly apology.
Ok it's over, right? No.
I look into the bags and it's the massive platters, and I thought, ok, well at least they gave us too MUCH, instead of too little.
But the extra teriyaki was missing and we only got one fork. So I decided to let the teriyaki sauce go, but I needed a fork. So I had to get out of my car and walk in and get a fork.
While inside I saw an associate clearly on a break, eating food, sitting at a table as close to the long customer line she was staring at as she could get. I can't say she was actually thinking "I hate my job" at that moment, but it sure was spelled out on her face. The other 3 or 4 workers I saw were running around like mad trying to run the place and none of them seemed happy.
On my way back out, one of the working associates said "sorry" as if recognizing my frustration at having to come in for something as obvious as a fork.
Ok so now it's over, right. Alas, no.
Upon my return to the car, I pulled into a parking space to check my food and maybe take a bite before I drive it home to eat. At least I could count on the yummy food.
You know those nice thick chicken slices they cut fresh into your bowl? My chicken was a disheveled mess that looked like it had mangled by an angry child, some pieces as large as a half-breast. Other pieces small, or burnt, or fatty bits. All of it strung together with connective tissue and somewhat wet with Teryaki. So I recognized the stuff, but I didn't enjoy it.
I have to say, among all the tragic execution lied a mound of perfectly executed steamed rice. Bravo for that.
I picked out the decent chicken bits, ate those, and maybe a 1/3 or the rice. Then I went for my drink, a reliable old Dr Pepper, hoping for one honest satisfactory experience among this whole thing. No syrup, or very little. It tasted like 99% carbonated water.
Lastly it should be stated that at no point was anyone rude to me. Just lackadaisical and harried. It was like people struggling against a poorly designed system and wishing they could serve their guests better.
I sincerely hope someone in leadership sees this review and makes some positive changes. This place reeks of a leadership vacuum, in my...
Read moreA few nights ago I went to this Lilburn location’s drive through. The young lady told me give her a sec she’d be back. Five minutes later still nothing so I said “hello?!” Her reply “Oh. You can place your order” once my order was placed I was told it would take 8 minutes to prepare my food and was asked to pull up and wait. This was done to the next few cars(asked to wait) after 15 minutes still no food. I go inside and it’s 4 teens standing around and one woman on the girl. I requested a refund and the young lady states “we don’t offer refunds” which I knew wasn’t true and asked for my refund she offered a free drink I declined she offered a free meal the next day I declined. She then states “well I don’t know how to give you a refund” so I asked for the manager. She initially stated “they don’t give refunds” and turned her back on me. At this point I requested corporates number and she then stated “can’t give refund tonight” and I asked why she says “I don’t know how” I again asked for corporates number. I was given the GM’s info and he apologized and had to walk them through the process over the phone. I spent 30 minutes being lied to and treated as an idiot this was by far the worst experience I have ever had in my entire life and this is a very transparent review in which I might add yes I was compensated but I can assure you that I will never return and strongly recommend that you find another location the particular one is...
Read moreI dined here on Tuesday evening this week at 5:30. The food and service was great, and all food was ready. I attempted to get take-out here this evening at 4:30, and had an absolutely awful experience. There was no orange chicken, and I waited 15 minutes (until I left empty-handed) after still not being served. When the chicken was ready, at least 3 customers in the drive through were served their orange chicken while I stood there still waiting. Then, a woman who came in well after me asked a server a question, and the server served her, while I was still standing there waiting to be served! One server had asked me earlier if I (if I) wanted to write down my order for her, and I stated, No, that I wanted to be served. After being overlooked and snubbed several times, I let them know how long I waited and how many people they served before even serving me (and I was never served). I left. I thought I had found a great place to eat, but outstanding Chinese food restaurants are rare in my area. This has happened so often, I am ready to give up Chinese food establishments. I was ready to spend $$$ on food, and ended up apologizing to my family when I got home and explaining about what happened. Instead, I cooked at home, and I won't be back. I am a business owner, and restaurants need to provide much better consistent, reliable, and professional service to keep...
