Flirt with Dessert — Restaurant in Georgia

I ordered my wedding cake at Flirt with Dessert. The whole experience was fantastic: I don't live in savannah, and I am busy during the day for work, so there was 15 email back and forth emails with the owner, Ashley, who answered my questions and took care of my requirments patiently and in all details. Even though this is a small wedding reception and we only ordered a 8 inch cake, Ashley took it serisously as if it is a 4 tiers cake for 200 people. The cake was beautiful, delicious, well made through inside filling to fresh flower on top. All according to my requests. It is the perfect cake, being a foodie and having been baking myself for years, I would not ask for anything more than that. The reception was held after Flirt with Dessert's working hour. They delivered the cake and set it up during after hour, on time and perfectly. Here's some quote from Ashley: "For delivery: We typically deliver and set up ALL of our wedding cakes." "we can ensure your cake arrives and is set properly for your dinner/reception. We do not like the risk of it being moved and set up by someone in the restaurant, if they drop it or mess it up, there is no other cake to replace it!"

I will keep following and supporting their business form this day forward, for better or worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till...

Stopped by thanks to Friendship Coffee Co and ordered a few cupcakes they had ready and a few other treats.

Overall I was kind of disappointed.

When I entered there were 3 employees there and nobody immediately acknowledged my existence, or even offered to help until an awkward amount of time passed, especially since there were no other customers.

For everything being handmade by scratch and all that I wasn’t too impressed. 5 out of my 6 cupcakes were dry. Plus there was wayyy to much frosting on all of them (the frosting and the cupcake cake were the same size on most of them), I had to just scrape it off.

Another star lost for not having proper and elaborate covid precautions. Given there were no other patrons in the store, I couldn’t see if they were making people stand 6 feet apart, However, not a single employee was wearing a mask! Kind of shocking considering their neighbors (FCCo and Pizza Hut) are following the procedures. Knowing this alone, I will not be returning to this nonessential business until after the pandemic.

1 Star is for the hummingbird cupcake alone, that was superb and worth the $3 if all of their other cakes could be that moist this place...

I have been to this bakery twice. Once because we were gifted some cookies that were delicious and wanted to get my husband a treat. Although the cookies they did have were not exactly what I wanted, I understand and picked an alternative. Because I was not a fan of that flavor I didn't taste any as my husband seemed to enjoy them. A couple of months later I went in on Sat morning and was the only customer in the store. After waiting for several minutes to even be acknowledged (and hearing staff complain about specifically named people) I inquired if they had any pastries as the selection was almost non-existent. I was told to "see if there was anything I wanted because they were really busy filling cake orders." I wad finally able to purchase 2 small cookies and 2 cupcakes (over $10.) Before l left several other customers came in for cake orders. I hope the people they were rudely talking about was not in line to get their cake. I won't return and...
