Island Daiquiri — Restaurant in Georgia

This has been my favorite dive bar since 2006. Have much respect for the owner and I really like the karaoke host.

However, the regulars get way too intoxicated and confrontational...way before the sun sets. We will refer to the biggest and well known repeat offender, RUSTY(not actual name) is the worst. He makes a point to offend all women. He evens boos people LOUDLY, heckles unbelievably, incredibly confrontational, and specializes in being a bully to woman. The bar regulars and staff make no attempt to intervene and are unwelcoming to anyone outside of the "regular crowd". Crazy how NO ONE STANDS UP FOR THE INNOCENT unsuspecting PATRONS WHO get verbally and physically attacked out of nowhere... UNBELIEVEABLE! The COMPLETE LACK OF chivalry. NOT normal to allow SUCH grotesque verbal and physical abuse, and see NO CONSEQUENCES for the offenders,. The overserving of alcohol, allowance of violence is unacceptable and reckless. NO ONE intervenes or limits serving alcohol or Drunk Driving. I wish that I could give a better review, but I am upset that I cannot have a beverage at my favorite watering hole. Island Daiquiri is the best bar on the island. Best bar in Savannah hands down. The food is excellent - you have to get the wings. The bartenders are friendly and hilarious. The environment is divey (my favorite), and it’s been the most welcoming place I’ve been since moving here. If you’re into fancy drinks and a downtown vibe and want to complain about a chill dive bar environment, then you should skip this one. DO NOT EVER ORDER FOOD FROM THIS PLACE!!!!! I ordered steak quesadillas and fried mushrooms from this place and only had a few bites of each and I immediately knew something was wrong!!! Now an hour and a half later I’m throwing up!! The steak tasted funny in the quesadillas and they were sitting in 1/4 inch of grease in the takeout tray!!!
