Good ol' Days Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Georgia

Maybe it's my fault. I forgot that I was traveling through one of the 65 I.Q. states that still allows smoking in public places. I called in my order for pick up. When I arrived 15 minutes later, I saw the dreaded sing on the door. "Smoking allowed". 🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮. I decided to brave it and ducked in. The entire side of the restaurant on the left was caught in a cloud of smoke. I saw an empty bar to the right.. I darted over there and the bartender soon came over. I told him that I was there for a pick up but didn't want to stay inside because of the smoke. He was cool and said the food would be right up. I went into the room with the pool tables and there were only 2 guys in there and luckily, neither smoked. So that room was bearable. I asked the waitress to take my c.c. to the bartender and bring my food into the pool room because I wasn't going to go into the bar. She was cool and agreed. So, aside from the stench of homelessness, this place had cool employees and pretty good food. It didn't travel well as the bread and fries were soggy after the 10 minute drive home. It's sure going to be nice when the remaining states ban smoking. There's not much else in this world thats more disgusting. Maybe pedophiles but smokers are a close second. Needless to say, we...

So let me start by warning you that this is an adult establishment which allows smoking. That being said, they have smoke eaters running all the time and they do welcome children outside on their patio. In fact, I have been there and treated 2 teenagers to lunch after a move. They also loved the food and the service!

Now the good stuff; The food is great. Everything on the menu is excellent. No kids running around (love kids, but sometimes you just want a break from them) and great service. As stated earlier, you CAN bring children, but then you need to sit on the patio which is also very nice with both heaters and fans depending on the weather.

The best part is the service. Always friendly staff who go out of their way to take great care of you. Last trip my wife and I shared a Buffalo Cauliflower appetizer (don’t miss that one if they have it available when you go), Angus Beef burger, onion rings and a large salad. Fantastic and perfectly cooked. They even split the plate for us! This is the kind of extra distance they go!

Came here for the first time the only reason why I went back is because I was treated respected excellent bartenders, great food choices and what I’d like to say is John one of the owners along with the other I don’t remember his name shamefully but they are BOTH beyond the most respectful owners I’ve ever seen in any business from acknowledging you when they see you to making sure you’re being attended to and treated with respect is what I most love about this place. The atmosphere is fantastic with excellence security no room for BS. If you’re in town, you’ve got to visit the most local place that’s open from food service to excellent staff bartenders waitresses security the atmosphere they have three different spots from a patio outdoor outdoors to a back bar ran by jukebox to a game room.
