Guthrie's Chicken Canton — Restaurant in Georgia

We thought the food, chicken tenders, fries and toast and special sauce were all excellent! The service was excellent too. But basically you have 2 menu choices chicken tenders served 2 ways in a box or a smaller version. And they also have a chicken sandwich which we did not try. Very limited but very tasty as long as you like breaded chicken tenders. They are a tad different from a Zaxbys or Chic Fil A. The tenders are thinner and crispier same with the fries. All delicious. Service was friendly and fast and they do have a "special sauce" for dipping (they also have ranch and honey mustard) which is good but all of the above can be had at a Zaxbys or Chic Fil A. I'm not sure other then the location (no competition at this location) if there is enough of a difference to go here. One final note although the service was excellent my adult daughter did ask the counter for ranch instead of the original sauce but when it was delivered to the table it didn't have the requested ranch so she went to the counter and counter person was extremely nice but the cook behind the kitchen window was rude to her saying he put the ranch in the box and he argued with her over a ranch cup. That was a bit of disappoint considering everything...

I have been coming to Guthrie's ever since it opened. I only live 2 miles away. My wife and I have enjoyed this place for years. I have also given this place the highest recommendation to other people. I am sad to say that it has been going down hill now for a long time. Not only have the prices skyrocketed, the quality of the food has gone down. We have quit them a few times but have given them other chances hoping they would get back to their stellar performance but are soon let down again. Today was the last straw. I always go inside to get takeout and usually park in front but there is only one parking spot. There are several in back and a convient back door right there, which I have been using for years. Today as I was getting in my car with my almost 30 dollar order I watched the guy I assume to be a manager hurry to pin a "Employees only" sign on the door. He had to really hurry to get to the back door with it so I could watch him put it up. Smooth move Sherlock, good job, message received. You won't be seeing me around...

Very similar chicken to Zaxbys but slightly more tender. I had to give them only two stars due to the terrible food selection that they have to offer. Not many options on chicken and that's the only thing they sell...tenders or tenders on a bun are about the only menu items. No salad option. No kids meal. There are not many options on sides and the ones they have aren't very good. Fries or slaw All the employees were friendly and nice. The restaurant was clean. I really think if this chain wants to survive in metro markets like Atlanta it might want to think about expanding the menu. I personally won't be going back.
