How should i start? In french? In English? Or should i first say "Sannu / Sannuko"? Anyway, I enjoy african food, more specifically Camerounian food, and I am familiar with several West African restaurants in the area, such as Songhai Cafe, Ike's African Grill. HoneyStars, African Grill....but aujourdhui , je voulais trouver quelque-chose un peu plus proche de la cuisine camerounaise. Je me suis dit pourquoi pas essayer Ivoire Market and Cuisine. As soon as i arrived i started hearing those expressions I used to hear while I was living in Cameroun. Cela m'a tout de suite mis du baume au cœur. Je me suis installé et ai demandé le menu. Je dois reconnaître que la carte is a little bit confusing....but it will be better next time. I wanted to order beef soya for an appetizer but the waiter told me upfront that it may take at least 45 min. I thanked him for telling me that and I decided to order right away the may dish. I picked the "poisson braisé". I also ordered water and a mango juice. Within 25 min, here it came...a nicely colored fish plate with a plate of allocos on the side. Before touching I was unsure if I should eat my food the traditional way (for the ones that are familiar, they know what iI meant?) Or should I eat like a westerner? I picked the latter way, even though I started to eat the allocos with my fingers. I really wanted to eat that fish with my bare fingers....hummmmm. Anyway, the food was good or I should said the food was exquisite....nothing was left on the plate. The fish head was all gone too... like we do "quand on est au village." Next to the restaurant, they have a store where you can find traditional food and spices from Africa. I had to buy some "sel gemme", une bouteille de Maggi en provenance de Côte d'Ivoire et des noix de cola (les deux types: bitter kola et Cola Acuminata). I cannot wait to go...

This restaurant should be condemned and closed. First, I ordered from Ubereats here the fish and a stew. They automatically added more cost to my order via Ubereats without my consent for a "larger fish" claiming that the size of fish i had previously authorized wasn't available. When I arrived I asked about it and the guy at the counter stated trying to justify it saying they had no way of contacting me via Ubereats, and that they do this all the time. Then I also didn't know it was Tilapia because the description doesn't say which fish it is. But jeres the worst of it all. On the counter there was a baby roach stuck to the bottom of my bag. I moved it and the roach was dead. I told the guy and he took his ginger and just moved the dead baby roach back towards him on the counter. Then a lady came out to further try and justify this entire situation. I then wanted to open the bag to make sure no roaches were in food, which at this point is insulting and disgusting. If they have baby roaches crawling around the counter then how can I know its not in the stew or in the sauce? I can't! So now $50 is wasted because trust im not eating African peppered baby german roaches! And they gave me attieke when I asked for ppunded yam. But I won't be eating this bs and I highly recommend that this place be CLOSED until they can clean it and kill these nasty roaches! And learn how to communicate with customers and apps when selling food. Now I have nothing to...

Zero stars if it was possible. My wife purchased 4 Vermox dewormers from this African store/restaurant @ $16 each (yes, $16 each so over priced). We found out that one of them had expired (expired in 2022) so I went back to them to replace/refund with the RECIEPT in hand. The shop attend looked at the it and told me I must have gotten this from somewhere else and want to scam them. Scam them! Of what? money? Or a dewormer? By returning just one out of 4 ($16×4=$64). While I have the receipt in hand he didn't even bother and told me he was NOT going to do anything about it. I got so mad at them and was leaving to report them to the authorities for selling expired products. God knows what they use to prepare the food they are selling there. As I got in my car then 3 other guys (not even including the store attend in question) came from there saying 'oh we looked at our stock and found out that indeed some of the products are expired'. Yes, that's how absurd and ridiculous the whole situation was. I've never been insulted like this I'm my life my my own African people. We preach support minority businesses but this establishment is otherwise. I'm not shopping here again neither will any family or friends of mine cos they don't know what customer service is. STAY AWAY if you don't want to be...

I placed an order on Uber eats. I ordered the Dibi Chicken and for side the plantain (Aloco). As an Ivorian the dibi was cut in too big chunks it is supposed to be small pieces. The taste was ok but not really the best or similar to what I eat on vacation in Ivory Coast. What might kill the taste is probably the amount of oil put in the plate it is literally like a whole cup of oil in it as you can see in the picture. Would I ordered again? No. It was not terrible but not the best either.

Overall this was a really good Ivorian dining experience. The food was good and the staff were friendly. I highly recommend the lamb, atiekke, and plantains. (Be prepared to wait an hour or longer for food if you do not call in advance) However, Ivoire Market has their recipes perfected! Once the cooks learn methods to prepare the food faster, this place will be a top choice of mine.
