I am unfortunately Disappointed that I had to delete my prior review of 4.5 stars for Johnny's Pizza in Dawsonville GA. My family went there as we do about once or twice a month for the past 3 months. We found out the have a Dollar Slice Mondays which we enjoyed in the past and made Mondays Pizza day because of that deal. However the last few times we have been there our experience was not as good as before. The waiting staff/ Management(Terry) are extremely rude. As soon as you walk in the door they look at you like you are a burden on them and they don't want you there. The attitude is very poor and showcases why it's always empty no matter the time of day. They are asking for help constantly and there business is clearly failing. The last few Mondays we have went there for Dollar Slice Mondays they keep changing the rules. At first we would get waters and single slices no issues. The next time we were told that a purchase of a beverage and not water was required. Then our most recent time we were told a beverage must be purchased by everyone even a 2 year old child. We do not drink that diabetic sugar water and do not want to pay 6 dollars for a warm low quality beer in a dirty glass which we were made to do before. It went from no drinks required to only one drink to now everyone no matter age must have a beverage. Why is it so inconstant. I asked to see where that is written down and was told it was not written down so then I asked to speak to a Manager. When I asked to talk to a manager the waitress Karen I mean Terry was extremely rude and said she was the manager and has been there for 28 years. (Keep in mind that 2 weeks prior we had the same waitress and she said she had been manager for 11 years and only required us to purchase a single beverage). She turned to ask her employees to back her up and they all just looked at her and remained silent. I'm not sure if she is delusional or it was the drugs that she was clearly on. How one can be Manager of a Business and be a drug addict is beyond me but I guess that is on the owner of the business. I again can see why the Business is failing. Its not the food quality its employee/management quality. We will not be going back until some changes are made and I would recommend if you are reading this save yourself the trouble and frustration of terrible attitudes and service and go somewhere else. There are more and better options...
Read moreI will not be coming back here, nor recommending this place to friends and family. Two weeks ago, my friend and I started coming to Trivia night here. First two days went fine. Service was slow, but I understand they were busy because of the event. Third night, we walk in and one of the servers comes running up to us and said, "One of y'all didn't tip last time, and I run on my tips. It could've been y'all or that group of teenagers over there." We always left tips. Rude, but whatever, I understand as I've worked in fast food before.
The halftime question comes around, we turn in our answer, then we're sitting there talking. My friend checks her phone and sees her friend got into a car wreck and was showing me the picture. Server comes running again saying we couldn't be on our phones and that it was cheating. We explained we already answered and that her friend got into a car wreck and showed her the picture. She said, "I'm sorry your friend was in a car wreck, but that's still cheating." Then she goes over to the quizmaster and points at us, probably telling him how we were on our phones. Quizmaster blows it off, having known us beforehand. Just a quick scan around, several other people were on their phones.
Our bill comes around, and I see the server has already added a pre-added tip to mine and my friends' bills. Comparing it to one of the old couple's sitting with us, they did not have a pre-added tip. There was no way to change this. I always leave a minimum tip of 10% or more, but it was ridiculous to single us out like that.
The server on our receipt was listed as Libby, but I'm not sure if it was actually her. All the other servers we interacted with were fine. We'll be going...
Read moreMy husband and I arrived at the restaurant at 7:00pm, and the dining room was not busy. We ordered our drinks and when my husband received his drink the waitress told me she would be bringing mine and just needed to change the syrup out. But after about 10 minutes she came back and said she didn't have it, so I chose another one and placed our order quickly because we knew what we wanted.
During the wait we noticed that the waitresses carried the drinks glued to their chests. They could use drink trays to serve. It would be more hygienic. At this johnny’s they have an open kitchen and you can see and hear everything they do and say. The kitchen staff seemed oddly relaxed. They were joking, telling stories, complaining about how “this was the busiest Sunday they've had in two months”, all the while having wait times exceed 30 minutes for in-house guests. No one was driving the service. It seemed the only thing leaving the kitchen was foul language and excuses. I felt sorry for the family with three young kids at the front.
The pizza arrived 40 minutes after we placed our order, and it was incorrect. We were not happy. They also ran out of large size pizza dough which was what we ordered. They said they could remake our pizza into two individual 12” pizzas. We asked if we were going to be a “911” order to be fired right away, and they said yes of course.
After another 15min I asked one of the waitress’s how much longer for our pizza, and she just rudely told me "I don't know" and walked away. This same waitress had already been rude to another customer in front of us. After my husband saw the way I was treated, we immediately got...
