12/24/23 Short staff and Loss of control. We placed our order online which was a big order with some specifications.
I believe his name was Tristan (bearded) who worked the oven and cutting and boxing, did his best to stay in it while the other pizza makers didn't seem to reciprocate his same sense of urgency. Tristan had a hard time responding to the customers because I came in to check in and no problem they had not started on it but 30 minutes after it was indicated to us the order was done when I asked for the order he put his hands on it but was so overwhelmed he couldn't read to see if it was mine and told me "I don't know. I saw the order they didn't make it so it's lost. I'm sorry" after over an hour of waiting I began to leave and realized I should probably talk to someone else since he was so overwhelmed
It was Sarah with a cool head (despite flux of customers) who listened to The problem, entertained my negotiation to salvage but then assured me my order was actually done. She walked over calmly discussed the matter and read the order and gave it to me simply put. Unfortunately the pizzas were cold and cold thin pizza isn't fun. There was no way to get my money back at that moment through the third party and I ordered desserts and they were not in the bag. But we were grateful to mod pizza that we were get food while all other restaurants are closing for Christmas Eve.
It's not fair to put personnel and staff in these situations and expect highly of them to prevail and the customer to be serviced properly.
Sara deserves a raise promotion and training...
Read morePizza that is better than most places in the Dawson County area. The line was long, and the processing of each customer was incredibly slow. Albeit, this was mostly caused by adults who had no idea how to order pizza the MOD way (think of Subway but for pizza), and definitely caused by folks who insist on letting their fourteen children under the age of 5 order their "own" pizza. Stop it. This isn't Disney. Have your toddlers go sit down. You're the adult. Order the pizza, and preferably order quickly, there's a line. As for service, the staff were friendly as can be expected when there's a long line and no breaks between customers. We asked three different employees "what's in your white sauce," to which the answer all three times was a sheepish grin followed by a Gen Z shoulder shrug and an "I dunno" closer to wrap up the inquiry. Cool. Cool. So, maybe focus on training your team to expedite guests who are dazed and confused by the MOD process, and train your team to know the ingredients in sauces. Is the white sauce ranch? No one knows. Only time will tell. If you have little kids and think parenting is being their best friend, and I cannot stress this enough, stop making food service worse for the general public, you clearly don't know what you're doing. There's not a line, you are the line. You're holding up the line. No, they don't need to order...
Read moreI visited MOD for the first time this past weekend and had a very good experience! I went online to place my order and was surprised to find out that they will add whatever toppings you'd like to your pizza without an extra charge(and there are a LOT of toppings to choose from). I decided to order a cheesy garlic bread, and since I was feeling brave I went with the pesto. It was a good decision because the bread was good and the pesto wasn't too thin and was super flavorful. We also ordered two 11 inch regular crust pizzas which were both under $9. One was with red sauce, mozzarella, asiago, pepperoni, sausage and canadian bacon. The other pizza had white sauce, mozzarella, ricotta and asiago, chicken, bacon, green peppers, roasted red peppers, onions, artichokes, roasted whole garlic and mushrooms. They were some of the best pizzas I've ever had! They have the brick oven char but its a light char and doesn't override the flavors of the pie itself. I placed my order completely online and it gave me a wait time of 18 minutes. I went to the online pickup area at the back of the restaurant and they had everything ready to go as soon as I walked up. I will definitely be back for another pizza the next time I'm in...
