This place is the closest grocery store to Dahlonega so I purchase groceries about twice a month from drive up. I have called in on 2 occasions to praise employees but this experience has decided our family will not be shopping Kroger anymore.
Our vacation plans changed due to weather and instead of camping during my son's birthday, we stayed home. I called and ordered a cake, then realized I also needed a tray of tea sandwiches. I placed that order online. I received a confirmation email that the sandwich order was recieved. I had set up the sandwiches and cake to be ready for pick up at 1030 the day of the party. I arrived at kroger at 12 and waited at the deli. And waited. And waited. One woman was working and she didn't acknowledge me as she was helping another customer. 12 minutes later and there's 4 people waiting. Another deli person appears and begins fulfilling another woman's order who arrived after me. I went to the man working on sandwiches but he is also busy. I grabbed my cake with no issues (shout out to those ladies). I went around the store and gathered my other items for the party. I went back to the deli and informed them i was ready to pick up my sandwiches to which i was told there was no order. I produced my confirmation email and waited some more. 1245 now and I was told they never got the order and it'll be 30 minutes to fulfill it. I called my husband who said to leave and we'd figure something else out. I went to the self check out and met Samantha. She was fantastic. She spoke to my son, listened to my story, and went to fetch a manager. Along comes Jonathan. This man has no business supervising anyone or interacting with the public. His communication skills are abysmal. He never made eye contact and didn't allow me to finish explaining what happened before turning around and wandering off mumbling about how he'd "look into it." Had he allowed me to finish my sentence he would have learned I didn't have time for them to make it right because it's now 1, the party is at 2, and I live 30 minutes away. We'll be shopping elsewhere; not because their system failed and lost my order, not because my son's little gathering was negatively affected, but because Jonathan was so flippant over the error, as if I were bothering him. If this company sees fit to promote a person like that, it tells me all I need know about...
Read moreThis time I will not let it go. Everytime (I mean EVERYTIME) Im ready to pay for my groceries at self-checkout I have a really hard time where Melissa (employee) is. It was not the first time thats why I decide to get that situation out on the reviews. Be aware if you are black or latino she will making sure you will give up on your shopping. Today I did the test and “boom”. Im a black latino woman and my husband is a white man . He when to a self-checkout beside of my self-checkout and I have the worse experience in that Kroger. Everytime I was trying to pay she was watching me struggle and was blocking me everytime I was trying to pay on self-checkout until I called her and she told me “I dont know whats going on” and my husband was just watching and taking notes. After 3 time trying to pay I told her to cancel my shopping and went to another cashier. The other cashier was very easy process and in 2 min It was done. So Next time I will be recording and bringing to a legal assistance. I hope Kroger do something about it. I will post the picture of my receipt and if the cashiers manager can see on the camera the manager will see the whole situation. This happened this morning 5 minutes before the time of my receipt It was between 10:45 and 11am . Hope Kroger do something about this. I have shopping at this Kroger for about 10 years and never had that type of situation until I have Melissa attending me many times. The other cashier who helped me with my shopping in the end was very nice young lady. I do not know if have another Melissa working at this Kroger but the Melissa Im talking about is an older lady and clearly...
Read moreYou will never find better management or kinder staff members. I left a review in the past (see below), but if staff do something deserving of a shout out, I give it... Having a lot of health issues, sometimes, kind of like NASA, "We have a problem." I started to feel like passing out, so I had to rest on the floor. In no time, the manager, Mike, and pharmacist Paula were at my side and making sure I was ok and didn't need an ambulance. They stayed with me till I could get back with family. The one great thing about small town America is that people still care and try to help their neighbor. Sure, small town America has its issues, but at least for now, chivilry is still not dead. Thank you for being my hero that day! Also, thank you to the mysterious Dasonville Fire fighter who showed up! You were all heroes in my book, and I thank God that people like you still exist. I hope this text helps get you all the raises and bonuses you guys deserve!
(Old review) I have to give a huge shout out to Nick for helping me find an obscure german dish... He was the friendliest, most kind, and helpful soul I have ever met. He, Marie Lou, and Lynn were all amazingly helpful. They saved this cripple fool a lot of time and heartache. They are the kind of people you wish were your neighbor. You all deserve a promotion! ...
