The quality and the customer service are trash! This use to be my spot but recently the crab legs still have cold spots in them when I break into them. Even when I ask that they be cooked longer to avoid that, they don't. Idk if it's bc they're so busy and trying to rush to fill all the orders but that's a no go. The owners are the worst!!! Literally the only reason they get a star is because it's seafood but the price point is terrible - OVERCHARGE! They get over on you by weighing the tray and not just the actual seafood. We lucked up and got a nice worker to weigh it without the tray and just use the thin weightless paper. $12 cheaper. Unfortunately the owner or owners daughter (Asian lady) got all rude and came over and adjusted the price back to even higher than what it was when the worker first weighed it with a tray. She said "NO, why is this price low and began lying about how they can't weigh it like that blah blah blah (mind you my mother is a science teacher and weighs just about everything so we both know how to work a scale). The lady then put the tray on the scale, blocked it so we couldn't see what she punched in then reloaded it and tagged it for the much higher price. On top of that, they treat black people terrible and have been disrespectful to several customers (whom of which all are black). This is a business in our neighborhood and I choose to no longer support it. We gotta start holding people to a higher standard if they want our coins. So NOPE, NEVER GOING TO KING...
Read moreCame to this establishment as i usually do but this time with my certified documented service animal. Was told my service animal could not come in and that my order would not be took until i placed my animal in car. Instead of asking for documentation for proof and the disability and issue he serves for. They continued to tell me he has to get out. When i could have gladly provided documentation me and my animal was discriminated against because of his breed. And it is illegal to turn away a service animal. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), restaurants cannot refuse entry to individuals with disabilities accompanied by their service animals in areas open to the public. Here's a more detailed explanation: ADA Protections: The ADA prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities, including those who use service animals, in places of public accommodation, which includes restaurants. Service Animal Definition: A service animal is defined as a dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including, but not limited to, guiding individuals who are blind, alerting individuals who are deaf to the presence of sounds, providing non-aggressive protection or rescue work, pulling a wheelchair, or helping someone with a seizure. Photos provided below of the two that discriminated against me and...
Read moreA Hidden Gem in Decatur! My visit to King Seafood in Decatur was nothing short of spectacular! I ordered a feast of crab, shrimp, crawfish, and turkey necks, and every single item exceeded my expectations.
The seafood was impeccably fresh - you could taste the difference with each bite. Their seasoning blend is absolutely perfect - flavorful with just the right amount of kick without overwhelming the natural flavors of the seafood.
The turkey necks deserve special mention - they were fall-off-the-bone tender and incredibly juicy. Clearly slow-cooked to perfection!
The portions were generous, and the service matched the quality of the food. Owner was super helpful in helping me pick the freshest seafood. If you're craving authentic, well-prepared seafood in the Atlanta area, King Seafood in Decatur is absolutely worth the trip. It's definitely earned its place as my new go-to spot for...
