Loc's Chicken & Waffles — Restaurant in Wilmington Island

If there was a "no stars" rating, this place would have it for horrible service and horrible food. I went to Loc's with my bff and "our" mom on July 24. When we got there we were told to just sit anywhere. We decided on a booth-it hadn't been bused yet so we just sat down, assuming that one of the wait staff would see us sitting there and come to finish busing the booth. That did not happen. We saw two waitresses sitting at tables with customers talking. A heavy set waitress passed our table at least three times. Finally, we asked for a waitress to come over. That waitress was pretty nice. She finished busing the table, apologized and took our orders. The food was flat out disgusting. I ordered the shrimp and grits- I also asked that cheese be put on the grits. What I got was not shrimp and grits. The shrimp still had tails on. They were also not on top of the grits but off to the side. The "cheese" turned out to be a Kraft singles type of processed cheese on the grits. Not shredded just a Kraft single slice. The other two orders were correct as well. That was the last straw. We told the waitress that we weren't paying for the food. She apologized then the heavyset waitress came over. She was rude and dismissive. When told about the booth- she said that she thought that the plates were ours. Mind you, there were three of us, and only two sets of dishes was on the booth. Her "apology" was dismissive. We then told her about the food- she said " I can see you didn't touch it". We asked for the name of the manager and his phone number. We were told that they couldn't give out that information. We left our number...

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST ALL THE WAY AROUND!!!

Walked in and told to seat ourselves. Tables that were empty needed to be cleaned and prior guests dishes removed. We sat down and 3 times a server walked by us without clearing the table and acknowledging us. Finally a server was close by and I asked her to come over and told her we had been sitting there 15 mins and no one greeted us. Asked her to clean the table and needed menus. Ordered our drinks and then order food. 2 in the party ordered shrimp and grits and I ordered chopped steak, eggs and hash browns. Asked for gravy on the steak and cheese on the eggs. They asked for cheese in the eggs as well. Finally 35 mins later food arrived. Shrimp was not on the grits but on the side, yellow sandwich slice cheese on the grits. No gravy on the chopped steak, no hash browns instead grits with cheese on top, no cheese for the scrambled eggs. Did not touch the food!!! It was HORRIBLE. Asked for the manger and server said not there. I asked for the number and name. Another server came over…the one who walked by our table 3 times prior with no acknowledgement. Asked what was wrong. We told her and she said I can see as none of you did not touch your good. Have my name and number and requested for the manager/owner to call me ASAP. Very rude and poorly run restaurant. I would rate a ZERO if I could Great service until they screw up your order on a take out. I call back to tell them my order was incorrect and that I was back at work. When the manager came on the phone he said these happen and offered no solution. Waiting for at least an apology I said "yes things happen how are you going to correct it?" He snap at me and said if I give him time he would tell me but I'm opening my mouth and I need to shut up. I told him even if I was in the wrong he has no right as a business to talk to me that way, I'm a customer. He continued with he's nasty tone so I choose to get my money back. After waiting over 5 minutes I ask for the manager to please come so I can get back to work. The nicest lady who was ALWAYS PLEASANT started fussing at me it from the other customers. Customers Checking out said WOW they messed up. When the manager came I said I eat here all the time and my job does too but I would never come back.
