Mac's Pitstop Grill — Restaurant in Georgia

I pass this place every morning to work. I had an extra 10 minutes this morning so I stopped by. Sausage biscuits and bacon biscuits are ready to go, everything else is cooked to order (at least from what I understood).

There's nothing special about the biscuits, but it definitely is what is expected. Hits the spot if it's what you want. It's standard enough that it makes me want to come back and try a real sit-down breakfast.

I walked in and asked for a chicken biscuit. They recognized that I was going to be in/out and advised that it would take about 8 minutes. I appreciate that they took the extra time to let me know my timeframe. They made sure I had condiments and utensils, as I was headed out the door. They even gave me a menu and said if I call ahead of time, they can have it ready for me when I drop by.

I live nearby and pop in as often as I can afford it during the pandemic. The folks at the Pitstop are quick, friendly, and thorough. I've never had a less than perfect order. The biscuits make for the most perfect of breakfast sandwiches, and somehow the burgers and steaks are even better! During covid, masks are absolutely mandatory, but you can still dine inside comfortably 8+ feet away from the nearest table. The Pitstop is always clean, and almost always full! It's a good idea to order ahead if you're in a rush, but if you cannot, you won't have to wait long for your food at all - 10mins tops!

Their hours are suitable for the Mom & Pop shop that it is, although my 1 complaint is that they aren't open later (they typically close at 2).

All in all, 5 stars across the board. Think I'm going to walk up there now for...

It’s REALLY hard to resist coming here in the morning! Some have to have their coffee, others have to smoke, but I’ll take their “Bacon Egg N’ Cheese” ANY day of the week! Nice, crispy bacon (and plenty of it!) egg and cheese. Skip Hardee’s. They don’t pack on the ingredients like this place does! It’s harmony on a biscuit. They see me often and know me as that really tall guy. It’s a local joint that most of the locals know about. I learned of it from a friend at my church. Stopped in one day. Hooked like a fish at Lake Lanier! I tip my hat to these two fellas that run a really great breakfast “pit stop” for me. The sun won’t even be up yet and my day is ALREADY brighter from a bacon egg n cheese! 5 Stars...
