One of the rudest MANAGERS ever. I went by tonight (08/07/2024) at 11:21pm to get myself and my son some food after a long day. I pulled up to the window and tried to order a quarter pounder with cheese. The drive through lady (who apparently is the manager) replied, “sorry, we are only serving cheese burgers and French fries.”. I was a bit confused and said, “oh, ok, why is that?” She replied, “We shut down our grill for the night.”. I was a bit confused because this location is a 24 hour drive thru location, so I replied, “oh. Is this location no longer a 24 hour location?” (I asked this because during Covid it closed at like 11pm or something due to staffing shortages). I wasn’t angry or anything, I just asked if the location had changed its hours. The MANAGER replied, “No, we close tonight at midnight for maintenance. I put a big sign, right in front of your face!” She said this was horrible attitude. I was taken aback and how rude she was. I replied, “Im sorry, I didn’t see the sign. It is posted by the speaker pole and I was looking at the menu.” She said, “well, it’s right there and says we are closing at midnight.” (Again she was VERY rude in her tone). I asked to speak with the manger, and she informed me that she IS the manager. WOW. How unprofessional can a person be to a CUSTOMER and still be a manager. This lady needs to be fired immediately for treating a customer this way. I was so shaken up by this that I pulled out of the drive through line and just went home. I realize that McDonalds doesn’t always higher the top tier of employees, but if you are managing a McDonalds in Kennesaw, GA… You gotta be WAY better than THIS! Shutting down grills at 11:21pm so you can do work on them is not really the way to do things either. Either shut down the restaurant completly or wait until your 12am time and then shut things down. Merle, who's a supervisor, provides no assistance or direction to new employees, Lisa who conducts orientation for new employees, initially didn't know her own email address and she does not return phone calls or respond to your emails. Jaime in payroll can't get payroll correctly setup for new employees. McDonald's getting orders wrong and being slow is due to the lack of training and staffing. My 16 year old daughter received no training what-so-ever. She was supposed to only be on the grill, but because they can't seem to keep a staff, she had to also handle the front register and drive-thru without any training. She basically taught herself how to handle these additional areas. With that said, my real issue with McDonalds is that my daughter worked 1 month before being paid. For 2 weeks we got the run-around; several phone calls to corporate, back and forth with Merle, who kept referring us back to Corp because he isn't involved with paying the employees it assisting. Corp office never answers their phone and never returns your calls. My daughter was told by fellow employees that all employees go through this ordeal. That's not acceptable! It took me sending an email threatening to report them to the labor board before they paid my daughter. What an awful 1st job experience to have. My daughter is no longer at this job. Read moreThis might be the worst interaction I've EVER had at any fast food establishment. I arrived at 1240 AM To pick up an online order placed and paid for. We waited in line for 35 minutes for 4 cars to be seen. As the car in front of us pulled up to the speaker he was told, "one minute". We waited 15 minutes until I walked around to the window. I had to waive the employee over. She replied, "WE CLOSED!!!!". I said, I have already ordered. She then said, "WE CLOSED, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE." I replied, I need a refund. The app says the store has to credit the refund. She replied, "that's your problem". My mind was blown. I replied, ma'am you told the man at the speaker one minute, and it's now been 15. Why didn't you tell him you're closed? She replied, "if I don't answer, you'd think he would leave". I said wow, great customer service. She replied, "it's almost 1 am customer service is gone."
This is all happening while 2 men are standing in the kitchen SMOKING and wearing their PAJAMAS. I've never seen such a clown show in my life.
I will never return to this location and a formal complaint has been made to corporate. Especially about the smoking inside the kitchen. If you can't find someone to work a shift don't hire trash people just to fill a hole. Just shut down during that time till someone proper can take the spot. Holy hell that woman isn't...
