Who owns this location and why are you in the restaurant business? I have been here 100's of times since I started working as a doordasher during covid, as well as the one on Johnson Ferry Road at Shallowford Road. The difference in the professionalism and organization between the 2 locations is like night and day. Yesterday I was sent to pickup a pretty big order that required 2 bags and after a few minutes one of the employees started to seal up the larger of the two bags until the drive thru cashier came up and explained that they needed 3 large fries to complete the order. At this point it finally occurred to someone to drop fries because there were NONE ready. So I waited while the food got colder and the drinks got watered down from melting ice until the fries were finally finished. A few minutes later the DT cashier went over and prepared the 3 large fries and then went over and dropped them in the togo order bag, but not actually bagged. She just drops in the 3 large fries AND WALKS AWAY without saying anything to anyone so the next thing I know the other guy who started to seal the order originally, goes over and starts making 3 more large fries. At this point I spoke up for the first time and said, The girl already put the 3 orders of fries in the bag and can I please have the order. Now one of the 3 other employees starts popping off at the mouth because "this guy is just always a problem". If so it is because your service always SUCKS! BTW, I come from a ff background and at one point was the GM of the highest volume Mrs, Winners, which was located across from GA Tech on North Ave where I worked my way up from DT cashier to GM in less then 3 years. So I know a little of what I speak but it doesn't take a genius to look over at some point and check fries when you are putting together an order with multiple Meals. And why would you start even bagging sandwiches and drinks when the fries aren't even in the grease yet. I mean the things you guys screw up here are the most basic things people expect from a FF restaurant. I've looked at the reviews and see that none of this is new judging from the string of negative feedback so this will probably fall on deaf ears but it needs to be said when things have sunk this low. Read moreWhat is going on with this location? I can’t begin to explain how many bad experiences I’ve had here. I feel awful for the woman working the first window, because she’s so kind. The rest of the staff is rude, dismissive, and make it painfully obvious how much they hate their jobs. McDonald’s pays more than LOTS of places, be grateful you have a job. Went today and was told to pull up to wait for my order (nothing new, I have to do this EVERY time I go and I don’t order anything strange at all). After 15 mins passed I pull back around and they had just forgotten about me. I hand them my receipt and they go redo my entire order, bring me the bag, I say oh I had a fry it’s not in here. They argue with me that there’s no fry that I paid for and I have to yet again hand them back my receipt and show them the fry. They give me the fry and I say well I still don’t have my Dr Pepper. He makes it right in front of me, hands it off, I get a few miles away take a sip and it’s a Coke. I get home and unpack my food for me and my family and guess what? It’s all wrong! How do I hand you the receipt for you to make my bag up for a SECOND time and still give me entirely wrong items? It feels like you guys do this stuff on purpose if I take other reviews into account. I don’t make complicated orders, and I’m a very non confrontational person who never complains or bucks up with employees so I can only imagine how yall treat someone with more of a backbone than me. Today, Sunday 5:45pm drive through, NO LINE (which should have told me something) but waited 20 min for food! never did get all the order,!! gave up after three people came out asking what we ordered again.
I watched as the five cars coming up behind us were ALL asked to pull ahead and wait for their food. Most for at least 10min. We didn’t have a big order, Happy meal and 2 combos. I mean really??
Clearly they had nothing prepped if they couldn’t actually give anyone- not a single car- food through the drive through. the kitchen was a mess. They clearly somehow lost our order and had no idea what they were doing.
If I had 20 min to get take out I would have gone to a full sit down restaurant. I had an autistic hungry kid going nuts in the backseat and my dad I needed to get to the airport. It was unnecessarily frustrating and stressful experience.
I will drive to the Delk road McDonald’s for my kid’s happy meal before coming back here (or go to the very well managed chick-fil-a down street) even though is much better location.
