In Dec 2022, I was contemplating starting the new year with a healthier food, exercise, and spiritual reflection routine inspired by the Daniel Fast. I was piecing together parts of a “plan” but my work responsibilities were increasing at the turn of the new year. Thankfully, I received a helpful 21-day devotion from the church I attend, but I still hadn’t figured out the “food” part. I learned about Chef Beee’s services during a Zoom Call (of all things!) and signed up for a week’s worth of meals as well as 2 snack boxes. The meals were SO FILLING (most containers I split into 2 meals) and I enjoyed tasting flavors that I didn’t normally cook or season my own food with. I enjoyed the Thai bowl the most (the sauce was sooo good!) But the lentil vegetable soup and the new years bowl with collards and black eyed peas were also delicious. The snack boxes were so fun. My husband and I enjoyed trying new plant based snacks like the flaxseed crackers and the peanut butter filled dates. We’re big fans of rambutan now and even found them at a local farmers market once we ran out of them in the snack boxes.
