I hadn't had an old fashioned taco in years and after my sister and I left my favorite nail salon across the street, we stopped by this place. It was dinner time so when we walked in, we were surprised how empty it was in this huge building. Red flag. The inside is totally out dated. The nice hostess sat us and shortly after we were approached by our seemingly unhappy server. He barely spoke English and barely greeted us with no smile. Before entering the restaurant, I noticed the special cocktail of the day was a coconut margaritas, so I ordered that and 2 tacos. My sister ordered and taco salad and drank water. I received my drink first and so I took a small sip, all excited only to be instantly disappointed. It was HORRIBLE. THEY USE CHEAP MIXERS AND I COULD TASTE THE CHEMICALS IN THE MIX they used to make drink and so I told my server I really did not like it and attempted to send it back, however I noticed he did not take the drink but walked away. No offer to remake the drink nothing. He clearly could care less. Once is finished my 2 tacos, he came back to the table to take my plate away and again I mentioned the the margarita and asked them what they used to make the drink, his reply was, its 1800 and I said yes and that's fine. I like 1809 but other than that and coconut flavor what else did you use? He really had no answer and so I tell him, its not very good I cannot drink.. and can you take it back He says" I get manger". So he does and a tall attractive young male Hispanic comes over and greets us, seemingly pleasant asks what the problem is and I explained to him the same thing I explained to the server. He never once tried to make it right never offered to make me a new drink or take half off no resolution was attempted other than, " youre going to pay for it" horrible customer service. The food was mid and the drinks are made with the cheapest mixers available in a liquor store. They do actually have a sign posted that reads, no example tasting w regards to alcohol and possibly the food Ive never ever seen that in any restaurant in Atlanta or Decatur..so apparently this happens often. I wouldn't...

I went there today (8-18-18) to order a pizza. Unfortunately I had to ask for a refund because I saw the cook that was making my pizza not using gloves. This is the same cook I saw when I went prior to this day not wearing any gloves at that time either. So today I told the lady that took the payment I wanted a refund. She stated “ok” and she will grab the manager. The lady was sweet. It wasn’t until the racist manager/ OWNER came to me with pure disrespect. He already seemed bothered that he had to talk to me. But when a white couple walked in, he immediately jumped to their needs with enthusiasm. I stated I wanted a refund. I told him it’s because your employee was not wearing gloves making my food and it’s unsanitary. He said well the health code says pizza makers are not suppose to wear gloves. Which was pure BS. Because when I brought it to his attention the other time;he told him to put gloves on. And he was still nasty to me that day..He greets all the white peoples kindly and makes them feel welcome. But with dealing with people of color; he makes you feel like you are not welcomed. So, after minutes of antiognizing me about a refund, he said he will do it. He then hurried up and tossed me my receipt not even saying, “I’m sorry”or “I apologize”. Then I looked at my receipt and he didn’t refund me my entire money. I walked back to him and told him he didn’t refund the full amount..he then stated “it’s the tax”. The tax? Really? It is a CANCELLED sale!! But ok. Go ahead and keep the tax...I see you can’t win with nasty racist white men stuck in their ignorant ways..I will never come back! Not that the owner cares anyway..he wants...

My wife and I have been going to Savage Pizza in Avondale for about a year now. We drive from Roswell to Avondale Estates at least once every 10 days to eat there.

Where do I start? Besides driving past 50 other pizza restaurants on the way from Roswell to Avondale we have tried various pizza in our travels over the years. Let me put it this way; we have sat down for deep dish in Chicago and wished we were at Savage. We have been in Italy. France. Spain. New York...same thing everytime..."wish we were at Savage". I know it's subjective but after what I just said, Savage, to us, is the best in the world.

Now, I have to say that we are Vegetarian. We order the large Greek pizza every time. It is the most amazing balance of sauce, artichoke, red onion, kalamata olives, spinach, and cheese that you could ever put in your mouth. The crust is unlike any pizza we've ever had...perfect balance of crunch and chew...and every time we go it's exactly the same, spot on consistency. Our meals are silent. We don't talk except to say "I can't believe this"... It's that good.

I have to mention that the service is excellent...from the time we order it's 10 minutes until the pizza arrives at the table...enough time to devour the equally delicious Cesar salad beforehand.

We LOVE Savage Pizza in Avondale. Do yourself a favor and experience this gem yourself. Drive from anywhere in Atlanta. Believe me,...

Savage Pizza is amazing. I recommend it for everyone. It's great for someone that just wants a beer and a slice or a family of five. Now remember the slice is before a certain time and it's only two bucks, you can't beat that. I think it's before 3 p.m. They have so many choices for toppings, great beer, and the breadsticks are to die for. I love coming here and sitting at the bar. The staff is very friendly and talkative. I also love the interior decorations. Every corner there's something else to look at. It's a cozy place and very clean. The restroom has 2 or 3 stalls and was very clean. Savage Pizza is quick and they also deliver. I love their prices and I love their service. They also have select desserts. If you're hungry and not sure where to eat Savage Pizza is a place to go. Order pizza to share or order your own. They also have other items besides pizza. The Greek salad is one of my favorites. It's fresh and the feta just makes it amazing. Savage Pizza has Quick Service, great prices, and free parking. You can't beat that. Check it out on a Saturday or Sunday before 3 or during the week and get a $2 slice. Additional for additional toppings. So keep that in mind. The beer is priced perfect. 4 to $5 for a glass.

We have lived in Decatur, GA for almost nine months and we have driven by Savage Pizza located at 115 Laredo Drive in Avondale Estates, GA several times so we decided to give this pizza place a try. We were having six friends over and we wanted to serve pizza. We were not disappointed! This is a fun super-hero-themed restaurant serving specialty pizzas with homemade sauce and dough. As we entered the restaurant, a gentleman welcomed us and offered to take our order. We ordered five large pizzas to go and he said they would be ready in about 20 minutes. We ordered their Mai Pai, Bolognese, Pizza Buttafucco (meat lovers), No-Brainer (supreme), and a build your own because one of our friends has a dairy free diet. Sure enough, 20 minutes later, all five pizzas were boxed and ready to go. Our friends and us loved the pizzas from Savage Pizza. They were hot and all of the ingredients were fresh. We highly recommend you try the Savage Pizza soon. We are glad we did and we are going back soon.
