Wine Workshop & Brew Center — Attraction in Scottdale

This is hands down the best Homebrew store in Atlanta (and its not a bottle shop with homebrew supplies in the back corner!) Gerald, the owner, learned my name and my wife's name by our fourth batch of beer. Last time we talked about all grain equipment for almost an hour. This is not the type of place that kicks people out when its time to close. You can tell that they really love homebrewing and winemaking. Right when you walk in the first thing you see is a whole room full of carboys bubbling away!

Regarding the selection, I pull recipes from all over the web, and I have only had to make one substitute over 5-6 batches of beer purchased here. It was a yeast substitution, but they still have a good variety of both Wyeast and White Labs. Great selection of Grain, adjuncts, and hops. Right now they only stock pellet hops, would be nice to see some whole leaf hops for late additions and dry hopping. They also have a great deal of equipment, from fermentation buckets and hydrometers to stainless steel kettles and kegging supplies. I would say that their prices are pretty...

It's always a very positive experience when I go to the Wine Workshop. They are extremely knowledgeable about wine making, and they are eager to help in any way. One particular thing I appreciate is that they do not try to sell me the more expensive option...for example, Marsha will say that I need a particular tool for making wine, but they offer two brands of that particular tool. She says they both work and would actually recommend that I not spend too much money and go with the less expensive one. I appreciate their honesty and integrity. Additionally, the quality of their items and their wine has been fantastic. I have also always been satisfied with the wide selection of wines. And, if they do not carry something in particular, they offer to order it for you. I would highly recommend the Wine Workshop and supporting this great...

I have nothing but praise for the Wine Workshop & Brew Center. As a home-brewing hobbyist, I was delighted when they opened their shop in Decatur. It has been great having such a great home-brew shop right down the road. Not only are they close, but this is the best home-brew shop in the Atlanta metro area... and probably beyond.

They have a very good selection of grains clearly marked in clear containers and a great selection of yeast and hops kept in a large glass-door refrigerator. They also have pretty much all cleaning products, containers, adjuncts and more pretty much everything you need for all-grain or extract brewing.

Finally Marcia and Gerald (the owners) are super-nice and very personable. It is a pleasure to do...
