This was honestly the worst concert experience I’ve ever had. My friends and I were really excited for this show — we love David Bowie, Kate Bush, and cover bands and we chose this event to help support a small, independent venue during a tough time for nearby businesses. Instead, we ended up sitting directly in front of a group of belligerently drunk women who heckled, touched members of our party, and ignored numerous requests from us to please be respectful. We addressed this directly with management four separate times in the hope they'd resolve the situation. Each time, the manager made weak, ineffectual excuses and offered ridiculous solutions — like relocating us or the drunk group, or sending them up to a balcony unattended — instead of removing the people who were causing the problem. To make matters more frustrating, the manager openly told me this person was already drunk when she arrived and they kept serving her anyway. So the venue chose profits over the well-being of its guests, putting everyone’s experience and safety at risk. As someone on the autism spectrum and a person with a history of trauma related to alcohol abuse, this was a profoundly overwhelming and awful experience. I had a literal panic attack and we ended up leaving before we could see the David Bowie set we were excited for. I appreciate the struggles small venues face, but ignoring complaints and putting the happiness and safety of your guests last isn’t acceptable. I’d like a full $120 refund for our seats and a clear policy to deal with disruptive, drunken people in the future. Until then, I can’t in good conscience...
Read moreHad a really terrible experience at the Hounds of Love cover show. The performance was great, no question. Great Kate Bush cover band. But my group wasn't able to stay to the end of the show because of an extremely disruptive and disrespectful group of belligerently drunk women. Management was told multiple times and nothing was done. The "solutions" offered were to either move me and my group or move the drunk women. Which wouldn't have fixed anything and only ruined the evening for the other side of the room. We were NOT the only ones telling these people to SHUT UP. The only solution we were interested in on our way out was a refund. Will never be coming back to a show here and I will be telling everyone I know about this experience. This was genuinely the worst concert experience I've ever had. And the most cowardly management I've come across. Absolutely ridiculous. ONE STAR, zero if possible, for the experience and the management. I am willing to discuss this experience with...
Read moreMy mom sold Avon in the 1980s when we lived in a trailer park. I was a kid and had a friend named Jerry. Jerry and I liked Ghostbusters and Go Joe. Sometimes we watched Jem too because there weren't many cartoons after school. My dad drank Budweiser by the case. The case the beer came in was cardboard and perfect for repurposing into a proton pack. I spray painted the "proton pack" dark blue and used 4 wire cabling for straps and to connect a small bicycle fork, which served as the zapper, to the proton pack. Then I got old and started working a desk job, but secretly playing bass in the basement. No pun intended. Oh, this venue was great, Purple Madness is excellent, and Prince...
