Pelican's Snoballs-Canton Rd:Closed for the 2024 Season! — Restaurant in Georgia

I am a "military brat" and grew up with the ocean in my backyard. I had a shaved ice every day!!! Fast forward I am now in my mid 40's and have not had the luxury of getting shaved ice until now. I can't speak for other people, but for me, no matter how good the "food/dessert items" are, if the employee's are rude, I will NEVER return! So that being said, the 2 young ladies that were working there today were the sweetest and most gracious young lady's. I was paying with my credit card and I was planning on putting the tip on it. To my horror, their machine was not set up to add a tip. I had no cash on me. I was so embarrassed! The lady working at the window today said to me, "No worries ma'am, the best tip you can give me is to come back." I really hope the owner see's my review!! Now on to the YUMMMMY stuff. OMG...100 CHOICES!! It's amazing to say the least! I ordered a large. It was more like a large & 1/2! Great portion size, but the prices are very affordable! And if you are melting from the July heat, they have a size bigger than a large called the Avalanche!! I usually love coming here, but now I’m not so sure. Last time I came here I ordered a pickle snow cone like I do every time but when I got the snow cone it started to burn my mouth really bad. I went back up to the window and told them what it tasted like and they just said “that’s how it’s supposed to taste”. I definitely think it’s not supposed to burn your mouth. So I just asked for another one of the same flavor to see if it was different but it was actually worse because it started to burn my throat. So I went back up to the window and told them that it was worse and they didn’t even ask if I wanted a different flavor or something to help. I got a snowball with some condensed milk. As they were pouring the condensed on the snowball it was watery. I asked did they add water to it. The clerk stated that they use their sugary mix. I told her you all are going to give people sugar diabetes. I went back 2 days later and met the owner. She stated they added their sugary mix because it was too thick to come out the bottle. I told her that what she is doing takes away from the flavor by watering down the condensed milk. Then on my avalanche she did not want to put my ball on it stating that I got a free upgrade so she can't put the ball on it. What's the point of having a snowball with no ball on top.
